lol yeah! although they live a long way away so we only see them a couple of times a year!
I really should move and do the bedroom. my bread is rising before baking so (fingers crossed) it will be ok.
anyone fancy a HHC 11.45-12.15? I need a kick!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Right not as much done at this stage as I was hoping for but the 2 cups of coffee I swigged should kick in soon;) .
Spoke to Ely jobcentre and yes I can take forms in there and they will send to place that processes them, only advantage is they will photocopy marriage cert, birth cert and death certificate (just typing that makes me feel cold:o ). Am hoping the death cert will be ok as was issued in Spain but it is an international one. Fingers crossed on that one as it took 5 weeks for that to come through:mad: .
I have degrotted the kitchen and sorted through cupboards and draws so pleased with that.
It appears DH has a little friend come to stay while I was away.........gasp horror - a mouse!! Found some droppings so put 10g of vermin killer down and now only 8g left, am hoping it is just the one. Sofas have been moved and hoovered - no sign of anything there but did find some in the old computer cupboard so hoovered and disinfected that. Yucky horrid things, I would have gone for a humane catcher thing but they didnt have any in wilkinsons and I needed to get it sorted asap.
Right, time to change CD and then tackle the lounge. Brooding a bit today as Mum sprinkled some of Dads ashes yesterday on his beloved roses. I cannot help thinking he took the time to grow them but never stopped to smell them.
Sorry another coffee me thinks.
Michelle - I only wish I could do more for her, I hate being so far away. Flights for christmas are already over £800 and then we would need to hire a car as she wants to sell Dads as it so upsetting seeing it there. Just dont see how we can afford it.0 -
[STRIKE]Morning[/STRIKE] Afternoon (now) all :hello:
All I seem to be doing is laundry!!!:mad: Its driving me mad. Didn't get around to my huge lists yesterday so I'm going to do it today. Infact I'm going to do it now, after I've sent some emails. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Going for a HHC 12.15 till 12.45.
Anyone join me??0 -
nicki - I know how you feel with the laundry! Since we came back from holiday, it seems non-stop!
rach - Ooooh! Congratulations to your SIL, and to you on becoming an auntie! I love the name too!
shell - hugs, it's a tough time for you.
michelle - you sound very bright this morning! I should definitely take it a day at a time. You've fed DS2 brilliantly, and I expect you'll find that as he is gradually moving on to solids, then the feeding will taper off naturally. I don't know how you stopped with DS1, but I had to stop very suddenly with DS1 (seems like a century ago!) and it was not easy just stopping from one day to the next!
pigpen - I'm all inspired with the decorating and room changes you're undertaking, so I'm ringing the bathroom people today to come measure, and will also ring the carpet people for the livingroom. I will get the curtain rail sorted, and make the curtains too! Then, we'll be all set to put up the new book shelves (in the garage since January) and remove the piles of stuff behind the sofa!
I've done the kitchen to about Level 3, and also the livingroom, but not as thoroughly. DS2 has cleared his bookshelf area of old school books and is almost ready for next week. the other two still have to do that. I have also removed a stack of outgrown books from the shelf as well that they can check through before I take them to Oxfam. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

I'm on a constant HHC of wiping walls and having a well earned break. Time for cheese on toast as that is the only food in - I will have to get to the shops later! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Shell hugs hun and I'm sure your Dad did smell his roses and if not his pleasure was in seeing the plant flourish x
Serena I've been pondering on bedtimes since you posted. To me you are being more than reasonable but then I'm not 16 (when I was I don't think I ever thought anything was reasonable). Does she sleep in late after a late night or generally not need sleep? Is there a BF to make her want to stay out late? The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
