    Morning all

Hugs for those who had bad nights. I really need to get my bedroom sorted today as I discovered yesterday that the loo in the ensuite has got a leak somewhere  It is obviously a very slight leak but must have been going for weeks :( Need to ask Dad for some help, they only get back from hols today and then we are all off at the end of the week so not sure when it will get done. Thankfully there is a stop value which I isolate the water on. Phew if it wasn't for bad luck I'd swear I had no luck at times.

SSL I see you have started back at work, HUGE hugs for you, can't have been easy.

Right better get dressed and started, wish me luck.

I'm wasting time here, waiting for OH to go to work so I can get on and fly. I'm ignoring the list at the moment, as I prefer to do the kitchen/livingroom on Monday and Tuesday. I didn't do any proper flying yesterday, as I was just so tired! I washed all DS1's stuff, and pottered around doing bits and pieces.

DS1 had a very quiet day yesterday, after sleeping until about 2pm. He still didn't feel particularly well, but a lot better than he was!

What do you think is a reasonable time for a 16 year old to be in and going to bed? I said 11pm during the week, and no later than 1pm Friday and Saturday - and I think that's a bit late to be honest! Bearing in mind of course that I am only setting these limits to completely ruin her social life, and make her a laughing stock with her friends! We have had 'words' after she came in at 3am on Sunday morning (and was saved from a massive row only because of DS's escapade!). She did come home at 11pm last night, but was sitting out in the car until 12.30 and then still not in bed until 1.30am. I understand that it's my fault not hers that I wake up, and that I am totally unreasonable to want to get up at 6.45 in the morning...

I'm going to have my hair cut this afternoon - looking forward to that! Back later when hopefully I'll have done some flying.

    • Bereavement Payment is a lump sum of £2000 paid to people who have been bereaved who qualify.
    • Widowed Parent's Allowance is a weekly benefit we pay to widowed parents who qualify.
    • Bereavement Allowance is a weekly benefit we pay to people who have been bereaved who qualify.
The full details are here the amounts due depend on your Dad's NI contributions and your mum's age. Bereavement allowance is paid for 52 weeks.

If you need any more help give me a shout

Thanks AnW's Mum. On phone trying to find out if I need to make an appointment to drop the forms and all the certificates off - still engaged (huh!). See I read all the stuff as only for 52 weeks but a couple of other ladies who have lost their hubbies are saying they are still getting this payment 3 and 8 years on?? Very strange.

Will ring once more then crack on with some work.

    ETA: Now no blooming answer!!!
  • Morning flyladies,

This is a general question really - do those of you with young children i.e. 3/4 year olds get up with them at the weekend or do they play in their rooms quietly?

I ask because my DGD gets up and plays quietly till her daddy wakes up but mine never would!!

It varies, sometimes she comes through at an ungodly hour and she gets popped back in her room to play for about half an hour or so. Wouldnt leave her unsupervised for longer than that though and she is a very sensible child!

Awwwwwww Dusty thanks :) it'll get sorted just one of life's challenges, just so frustrating though.

Shell I get WPA and will get that whilst A & W are in full time education (and so long as I don't find happiness and shack up with anyone else as far as I can remember) But I hate to call it WPA and prefer to call it DH's state pension. It's all so confusing at the time though and DWP assume you know what is what.

Mine never did either Jackie, on the rare occasions I tried to ignore them they went downstairs and ate all the goodies in the cupboards/fridge - once DD climbed up on the worktops and got onto a high shelf and ate all the glace cherries - a deed I remind her off regularly when she is moaning about DGD. :rotfl:DD tries to ignore DGD but she usually ends up getting into some mischief - I think it is easier to just get up.
