    Just having a little break.

DS3 gone to B&Q with DH after he helped bake a banana loaf.

I need a whole life reassessment. I just watched a bit of super nanny - US - which I have not seen in ages and I realised that I spend too much time tidying/cleaning/sorting and not playing with the kids. I am always thinking once this room is done I'll have time/inclination to do things with them but as you all know that never quite happens. I will get as much done as possible this coming week and then I am changing my ways and stopping each school day at 15:00 and trying to spend more time doing stuff with DS3. Trouble is I don't really like playing much.

Time to start the kids packing whilst the cake cools.

    Afternoon Honies, I'm HOME!!! :D

Well it rained for most of the boot sale, so it was really cold and miserable so there weren't many people buying stuff, but this is the result after accounting for the £8 pitch fee (split into £4 each for OH and I):

OH (only sold about 5 of his things) = £4.50 :(
Me (sold quite a lot of clothes etc) = £15.20 :j

We didn't make a lot, but considering the lack of footfall, I don't think we did too badly. Loads of the stalls packed up with the first rain shower at 10.30am, but at that stage neither of us had made our pitch fees back, so we decided to stick it out. We were positioned right next to a massive chip van, so lots of people came over after eating which was good. :T We did have one small snag - originally we were going to go in my car, so I'd loaded a box of stuff into there and asked OH to take it out last night when we decided to go in his car instead - he forgot  , so I had half the amount of stuff, so the selection wasn't quite so good.

I think I'd like to do another one (OH isn't so keen), but we're thinking at a different location and only if the weather is good (weather forecastors had said just cloudy all day, clearing up later ).

IBS - Tag all the things that trigger yours are the things that trigger mine - I had wondered about dairy for a while, but I think that must be a trigger for me too. I parked in waitrose carpark the other day when I wanted to go into town, so had to buy something, and bought their columbian coffee flavoured milk which I love; I drank 1/2 litre yesterday and 1/2 the day before, which may explain the upset tummy. Pigpen I also struggle to find things to eat, cos I'm vegetarian as well, and have started to become intolerant to quorn (I'm also allergic to penicillin and erythromycin, so maybe that's why). Polkadot I first got into rooibos tea after someone recommended on this site on another thread as it's caffeine free (something known to trigger IBS) and it is good for soothing stomachs. I started out just drinking the lidl ones (caramel and vanilla flavour were my favourites) but then they started to become expensive as they became popular. Then Tetley brought out red bush tea and it was on promotion for £1 a box, so I bought 5 boxes (cleared out Mr T's shelf). I converted my Mum (also suffers from IBS) onto the Lidl ones, but then our local lidl closed for a bit for renovations, so my Dad bought her Tetley - she didn't like it, so I got another free box. :rotfl:
Rach actimel worked for me too, but like you, I stopped buying it because it was expensive. I just bought store own probiotic yoghurts, or bought actimel if it was on offer for a treat. A neighbour upstairs convinced me to try aloevera juice, but it was absolutely disgusting, and didn't seem to do anything for me.

Well I'm going to go and have a nap - I decided to wait til I got home to eat, as I fancied my houmous and pitta bread after all, but now I've got a headache (probably a mixture of not eating, not sleeping and the weather - rainy still), so probably won't fly for a bit as I don't really feel up to it.

Will catch up later, and thanks to all of you who wished me luck - I'm sure it's only the positive thoughts of flyladies that helped me to sell as much as I did. :A

    Hugs to all, sexymouse xx

Really pleased with the livingroom, i even wiped the sofa and chairs, phoned orange and now the pc is working again.:j

Plan now is to fire in chicken for HM chicken crumble (yummy) and then make HM veg soup for tomorrow (double yummy). Can't use all my smilies cause for some reason the computer won't let me get into links. Think i'll spent an hour in the kitchen because it is a site.

    Sexymouse well done.:T

They are having an inset day on the Monday here hence the Tues start for them all. We are literally just in Derbyshire, right on the border with Notts and S Yorks! Drive out of the village in 3 directions and straight into the next county. We have a Sheffield post code and phone number but the highest C Tax in the country (as far as I can remember) Where in Derbyshire are you?
Spire town - or as the kids call it on Bebo Ches Vegas! Sheff postcode here too! - You must be close by - Staveley/Clowne way by any chance?

Valli maybe Im being not looking properly-but how do I make up the stardrops mix?
    http://http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=354039

I used 100ml stardrops and 400ml water in a spray bottle I had saved and washed out - so at about 80p a bottle that makes a lot of cheap cleaning mix. The people on the stardrops thread, quite rightly, advise checking on an out of the way bit of carpet first (I didn't do this :o ). Some of them also use vinegar, presumably white - I would if I was using it for windows but I am using up some other stuff first. The lab technician in me would suggest you put the water in first before adding the stardrops then it won't foam up. My bottle is clear - I think it was a cif oxy action one and it works VERY well! I added the link!

Rach we are having sausage casserole and mash today

SexyM well done on the boot sale and I reallyt hink the weather has a big effect. One of the 3 items I put on ebay has a bid at the starting price of £9.99 so I am happy about that

I'm fed up with clearing out the kitchen but did get a little time in the garden. Going to pack DS3 clothes next and then peel some pots before updating my list.

But Dusty - you have baked with your DS3 - that's quality time spent with him - and constructive too! Don't be too hard on yourself!:T
