Morning all, long time no speak and all that .. I think I've been missing since um, April perhaps.

With the impending thing called DD starting school next week, I'm trying to galvanise myself into getting back into some kind of routine.

Beginning in a lukewarm manner today.

Today is a "normal" 9-5 working day, but I have already done 2 loads of washing and hung them out .. one of them being my DD's bedlinen :j.

Frankly, I'm a bit (lot) scared of her room, so that is a job for the pair of us to tackle this w/e. She is 4 and 3/4 and is v.crafty and a hoarder ... so paper crowns etc., fill the room!

But if she is going to start school on Tuesday, I want her to do it with a clean, ordered, tidy, dusted room.

Uniform still not completely bought, so another job for this w/e, complete with frantic sewing on of labels. At least I've done the dreaded shoe shop!

So, my list for the w/e is:
    • DD's bedroom
      • Bedlinen stripped & washed
      • Fresh bedlinen
      • Binbag boogy
      • Find her dressing table top (it surely must be under that heap of "Junk")
      • Re-organise her wardrobe and remove too small stuff
      • Re-organise her drawers and remove too small stuff
      • Tidy bookshelves
      • Tidy toys
      • Dust ceiling
      • Dust walls
      • Tops of the curtain rails
      • Windowsills & skirting boards
      • Behind the bed
    • School Uniform
      • Buy it!
      • Wash it
      • Label it
      • Iron it
      • Pack P.E. bag
      • Lunch money
    • Choose birthday pressie for me for my DH to buy :j
    • Shred another box load of paper (ongoing, attempting to "rationalise" the filing cabinet)
    • HHI or two or three
    • Make bread and lots of it ..... according to the freezer .. we have none, plenty of tortilla wraps and pitta breads, so guess what's going on the mealplan, LOL.
I think that's a good place to start .... ! I probably won't be doing Monday, but I will most definitely be in from Tuesday .....

Big (((hugs))) to all that need, oh and to everyone else too :)

    Morning all

Will add my list soon, had a really tough night with DS and the itchies. I started out on the sofa bed but then I thought I heard a mouse:eek: in the lounge so rushed off to wake DF. Needless to say a few minutes after we discovered it was DS scratching:eek::eek:I think Im going to take him to A&E today. It has spread to all around his mouth and he has patches all over back and front now too.I'll just explain nicely that GP didn't have much of an opinion-I ended up bringing him onto sofabed and letting him watch a dvd to distract him poor thing:(

Also, as for me being completely off keel in the health department the last few, DF noticed last night that the last time aunty flo visited was 18 July:shocked:
Right, off to find my list

Oh polkadot - poor DS, hope you get a Doctor with an idea of what they are doing today. And oooooowwww, trip home via chemist for a pregnancy test too me thinks;) . Was it you that wanted to try for No 2 after the wedding? Or am I getting muddled again:confused: .

Quote for car recovery got, will check with DH later but £80 with £20 cash back seems pretty good to me.

I'm here and awake...just :o DD slept in my bed and kept kicking me, but otherwise I slept okay. I'm that used to noises & stuff now that I rarely wake up unless its one I don't recognise. ;) DD's baseball bat right next to the bed also helped :rotfl::rotfl: I'm thinking of getting a proper one or an old fashioned truncation ;) Trust me that if anyone ever broke in they'd be leaving in an ambulance not a police car :rotfl::rotfl:

The landlady has been - someone is coming between 11-11.30am to measure up and let her know how much so in theory it should be replaced today. Just going to go and remove DD's rollerblind and move some bits out the way (including the fireguard on the heater) so its easier to get too. ;) THEN I'm going to crack on with some jobs since I'm stuck in and DD is doing her Brownies Writer badge work & reading. No TV today until the work is done! ;)

Same here, i have an extendable kevlar baton, just in case.... I used to carry it when i walked the dog at night in a less slightly dodgy area.
