:mad::mad: The man has been and measured up for the window - but it won't be fitted until Tuesday or Wednesday next week :mad::mad: Okay I know its got to be ordered with it being double glazed but thats a pain in the neck! Going to go and dig out enough cardboard from the recycling bin to cover the whole pane incase someone tries it again or thinks "easy target" then I'm going to go out for a bit. Less likely to have trouble today. Looks like I've got a quiet couple of days in

  • just sitting down with a cupppa and a twink hobnob (how delicious are they!) having been a good little flylady this morning! Made a batch of jam, 2 x WM (curtains as the weather is ok!) DW, cleared a long overdue hotspot - board in the kitchen - now I know what I've got there! and it's ready to go back to school for notes etc... Hoovered through - dyson is really sucking since I cleaned the filters  ! cannot begin to attempt DDs room - there is clothing everywhere mixed with toys - so a major nag is coming on - I know she's only 7 but still... DS just has a bit of tidying but basically his room is clear - just the curtains to iron and put back up. All ready for Wednesday too - DS is off to high school - not sure who is more nervous me or him!
Oh and I've posted my September GC, sorted email and just have to cancel blockbuster trial or I'll be charged!

Nicki - I feel  for you, what a pain.

    Well update from HHC

    Bathroom S & S
    Kitchen S & S (sides all disinfected)
    Lounge S & S
    Hoovered through
    Stuff put in recycle bin
Voting registration thingy done over phone

Rest of house is looking tidy so best tackle the kids room next. So going for 12.15 till 12.45 then will stop for lunch.

Found some mouse droppings but not sure if they are just old ones I disturbed (only 1 on kitchen floor). Have measured out more stuff and put it out of littles way so will give it a few days and reweigh it. I have never had mice before. DH says he kept it hoovered and clean while I was away but  , we do have fields near by so I guess it/they could have come from there. I feel all unclean:o .
  • Just had to see what a HHC was :D just what I need to move my lethargic butt today

I'm going to have my lunch now. Making a lot of headway in DS's room and sorted out quite a bit to get rid of. There'll be loads more stuff in there shortly when it's his birthday anyway! I reckon another HHc and it'll be done but food first!

  • I haven't caught up on the thread at all today yet so forgive me.

    My list today:

Two more long emails to send.
Catch up on surveys and complete
Spend at least an hour on STP to earn some shekels
Make that one difficult phone call
Go thru freezer and cupboards list and decide on dinner
Find c/c statements and write cheques
    Get QVC return parcelled up
Feed the cat. (I do that every day but hey! I feel lazy compared to all of you so I am adding it on.)
    Start Tescos order
Take vitamins esp. iron tablets (I keep forgetting)
Spray shower curtain with bleach and water mix.

No hope of me getting into the garden today, my poor OH works 2 jobs Thurs Fri and Sat so this afternoon he crashes out usually so isn't able to help me out there. It isn't raining though so hoping my toms are ripening in this muggy heat.

    Hugs to all today
