My mum's just been for a quick visit - they've come back from the caravan early as mum's boss retires today.

So I need to get started again - HHC 11.30 - 12 anyone?

    Morning all

Two loads of washing on the line, including DD's bedding. It's just hanging there, sulking. No wind, no sun.

Cleaned the bathroom and toilet early this morning before the man came to measure up for a quote to replace it all. Just got to wait for him to get back to us now.

Dusted living room and vacuumed right through downstairs.

    Morning ladies
Any tips on cleaning the quarry tiles - they somehow have a fair bit of paint on them!

Dusty - it depends how bad it is. If you can get it off with a gentle scrub with floor cleaner or something abrasive like astonish, that's great - and then you can probably just get away with re-polishing them afterwards. If there's quite a lot you may have to use turps in which case you'll need to reseal them with a mixture of turps and boiled linseed before re-polishing them. I've had friends who've had to go as far as using acid on the grout between their when they moved somewhere new - it works a treat but is VERY hard work. If you want more details on any of this let me know.

Johanne - that's great news. Hope it helps offset some of the other worries.

Polkadot - fingers (& toes!) crossed for both you and DS

I've done no flying today, but have managed to get a contract rewritten for work so it hasn't been entirely unproductive... out to put the towels on the line and have a break from the paperwork :rotfl:
