  • I could be wrong, but it looks like those "companies" that basically charge you for placing adverts for the company in various forums, classifieds etc. Scam.
You don't have to mad to work here, but moo moo quack boing parsnips
  • Smells of a potential pyramid scheme to me. What's an application? To send more emails of the sort you receive?

I like the payment system - no mention of tax yet at £600 per 30 emails they are paying through an online payment processor - paypal?? Also whats the chances of your online payment processer being charged??

    Scary stuff.
  • How did you find the site? It's only been registered for 6 days, in fact

It does not appear in google or any onther search engine too?

I saw an advert on the jobcentre plus website for a company with that name so I googled K.C COMPUTER SERVICES LTD and selected pages from the UK only. It came up on the first page. There was an email address on the jobcentre advert and I emailed it to ask for more information about the job and if that was their website or was it a different company with the same name. I haven't had a reply from them though so don't know if the advert on the jobcentre plus website is connected to them or not. The advert is below:

When I type in https://www.k-ccomputer.co.uk a company called Just Email Uk comes up so it might be a different company with the same name. Bit confused by it.

Just because its on the jobcentre, doesnt make it legit.
There was an article on Watchdog last year that highlighted the fact that the job centre was advertising work at home scams and people were trusting that the job centre had checked the work.
Any home work scheme that requires money, which this one does, is a scam. Sorry.
    I speak from experience here.
  • Im from sheffield & Mr Clark has a vacancy with the Job centre here hmm don't think il be going for this one anymore might make a phone call out of interest will leave a comment on here if i do
  • A fiend for life is correct: as of 1 Jan 2007, it is illegal for a company website not to have contact details on it, which must include the postal address and a phone number(?) as well as an email address.

This information has to be easily accessible, and the DTI makes several recommendations for where to put it: "contact us", "about us" or "terms and conditions" pages, to name but 3.

I know of a few companies in the UK who do not comply with this law.
  • Here's something from the Advertising Standards Authority looked at concerning a local advert.

For those interested in potential homeworking I found this site through the Advertising Standards Authority web site:

    http://www.ngh.org.uk/home

check out the links section. I have not used them and know nothing about them so if anyones got any info on them...

Here's one on homeworking from their 'links' section:

I don't have any experience in this area so if anyone has got feedback to contribute.

    Registry Whois
    Domain Search:

    Domain name:
    k-ccomputer.co.uk

    Registrant:
    RON CLARK

    Registrant type:
    UK Individual

    now there's a coincidence :D
  • I rang the local Jobcentre to complain about this, as they clearly are not vetting adverts properly. Just received a call back - all K C Computer's adverts have been pulled and they are under investigation. £9.20 an hour for Data Entry 'in your local town' did seem rather too good to be true.

    Hi
Joined up here to reply to this thread :o

Me being a student saw this job on the job centre website and applied for it on the 18th August (along with a host of other jobs) to help me with my costs at uni etc. My housemate done the same thing. I emailed my cv and a covering letter to them. I got an email on Friday evening saying that I was picked for the role and to give them a call on a 0844 number and quote "DATA INPUT KEVIN CLARK".

So I gave them a call on Saturday morning and it was answered by a bloke called "Andrew" with a notheren accent. He referred me to their website and asked me to click on a few links to get the full job spec. Having done that I got an email from a bloke called Ian Johnson who wanted me to post a uncrossed postal order of £25 to him in tyne and wear and said our new website is http://www.nethomeworkers.co.uk/.

At this stage I lost interest. Apparently Im promised lots of work if I send him £25 all in the comfort of my bedroom.

My !!!!!! of a housemate on the other hand has sent off his postal order and he is promised a login Id and password before 7pm tomorrow to access their training material. Im really looking forward to tomorrow :D
