  • being as wise as i am i thot i would look on the net for this company before i sent any money, i'm glad i did, i live in perth and found this in the job center, i sent ian an e mail back saying "THIS IS A SCAM NICE TRY" this is what he replied

TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE IT IS NOT A SCAM / CON / PYRAMID SCHEME. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY A PROFESSIONAL FRIEND THAT THIS IS LEGITAMATE IN THE UK ( DIRECT SALE OF PRODUCT/SYSTEM/INFORMATION/TRAINING IN EXCHANGE FOR PAYMENT).

THIS HAS BEEN CHECKED OUT BY POLICE, TRADING STANDARDS, WATCHDOG PROGRAMME, SOLICITORS, JUDGES & JOB CENTRES. THEY HAVE ALL ACCEPTED IT.

WE ARE ALSO REGISTERED AT COMPANIES HOUSE & THEY HAVE ACCPETED IT.

THIS IS A SELF-EMPLOYED HOME BUSINESS.

I GOT THIS FROM A GOOD FRIEND OF MINE AND HE IS DOING THIS SUCCESSFULLY.

THE FRIEND OF MINE HAS BEEN DOING THIS FOR 2 WEEKS AND HE HAS EARNED £260 IN A WEEK.

ANOTHER FREIND OF MINE HAS BEEN DOING THIS FOR A FEW DAYS WHICH SHE GOT THROUGH ME AND HAS EARNED £80.

ALSO SOMEONE ELSE HAS GOT THIS THROUGH ME AND HAS EARNED £60 IN 2 DAYS.

ALSO A 3 Testimonials from people who has got this position through me and are enjoying the work:

    Dear Ian,
I have just started your training for this homeworking scheme.
    Many Thanks
    sandeep sandu

    Dear Ian
As a fulltime mother, there arenʼt many real opportunities to earn an income from home.and am now working as an independent contractor.
I was a childminder for a few years, which didnʼt pay very well at all. With this job,I can fit my work in around looking after the children, and do the hours that suits me.
It pays pretty well too.I can vouch for the fact that you WILL receive lots of work after you have paid your initial fee,but as Iʼm sure Ian has mentioned ,is up to you how many hours you do(I could work around the clock if I wanted to!)
However, this opportunity has allowed me to fit in my work around caring for my family, whilst potentially earning me a healthy income .
My only complaint is that I didnʼt come across this position before!

This Ian Johnson has been doing the rounds for a long time, as you can see from the communication I had with him a while ago: first time I emailed him was in 2005!!

It's people like him that make it so difficult to find a genuine work from home opportunity.

    Sal

    Hi,

You enquired about the positions that we had available typing and entering
data some time ago. I sent you the information that you required annd would
just like to let you know that we now have a sale on our training materials
    throughout January.

THE TRAINING PACKAGE IS CURRENTLY HALF PRICE!!!

The one-time non-refundable fee for the training package is now just
£4.99.(Usual price £9.99) This includes all processing fees and training
costs. We offer professional online and telephone support for as long as
you may need us. This is a one-time fee, and there will be no other charges
to you. However, the fee must be received before you can gain access to the
Training Area on our website. We must accept this fee to cover the training
costs, processing fees, as well as to ensure that only serious applicants
apply. Unfortunately we are unable to deduct this from your first pay as if
you do not process any applications then we will have taken the time to set
you up and train you at our expense. We can however guarantee that you will
make more than your training fee back with the first application that you
process, so if you are serious about this position then you have nothing to
    loose.

Once the training fee is received, you will be given a Login ID and Password
via E-mail to gain immediate access to your training materials. Most
successful applicants typically complete the training within 24 hours or
less. However you can complete the training at your leisure. Keep in mind
that the sooner you go through the training materials the sooner you will be
able to start working. I will be able to be contacted via E-mail of phone
at anytime after you have received your training materials to help you, or
to answer any questions you may have.

If you have any further questions then please do not hesitate to contact me:
    ukhomeworkers@hotmail.com

Please pay your one-time payment of £4.99 by Paypal to: howieard@yahoo.com

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you and hope that I will be
welcoming you to our team in the near future.

    Kind Regards,

    Ian

    >>at times, so please be sure that you have the patience to do so before

There have been a number of posts pointing out the resemblances this scheme has to typical Internet scams, but there have been no solid examples of it definitely being a scam itself. So I thought I would offer proof positive that, at the very least, this 'company' deceives the people it recruits.

I was contacted by one of these bog-standard e-mails from Kevin Clark, and thought it would make a nice sideline job for evening or weekend work. Kevin's e-mail told me he wanted me to contact his office immediately to discuss the role.

When I called the number and gave the reference, I was informed by a guy with a north-eastern accent calling himself Ron that Kevin was "working from home today" (the e-mail telling me to contact THE OFFICE had only arrived about half an hour earlier) and that he had left a list with Ron of the people who had been sent an invitation to start work with KC Computer Services. Ron took my name, put me on hold for over a minute while he went to check the names (interesting that he needed to do that, shouldn't he have had the list to hand?), then came back and confirmed that I was on the list and he directed me to visit the website.

I became more suspicious over the £25 fee for the training materials, but I was also bothered about being made to phone someone only to be told having done so to visit a website. Why not just give me the website address in the e-mail?

So I decided to put the firm to the test. The next day, I got my brother, who had never been contacted by them, to call them up and identify himself under a made-up name. The name he used was "L. Khallufid". Again, Ron answered rather than Kevin, put him on hold, and came back confirming that L. Khallufid was on the list that Kevin had left him!

I then called again later in the day and, disguising my voice, used the pseudonym "David Vaughan", (i.e. David Beckham, former England football captain and Michael Vaughan, former England cricket captain) and AGAIN Ron said I was on the list of approved candidates!

There is not a chance, not the slightest chance, that both these made-up names were just by 'coincidence' on his list, especially not L. Khallufid. This demonstrates beyond the tiniest glimmer of a doubt that this company lies to its potential recruits. It's not absolute proof that it's a scam, but coupled with all the other indicators, it must be about 99% definite.

The address is now in the WHOIS. A Google on the postcode:

    http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/adjudications/non_broadcast/Adjudication+Details.htm?Adjudication_id=42507
On this point, the ad breached CAP Code clause 7.1 (Truthfulness).
We told NET Homeworkers not to use the ad again and told them to contact the CAP Copy advice team for guidance with future ads.

This must be a scam right?
