Afternoon.
Mummysaver, I'm exhausted just reading all what you baked yesterday.
Fine and sunny here at the moment, although it could all change soon.
Sliced turkey in gravy here for tea today. It was the leftover bit from work, so I'm hoping that when I've sliced enough for tea, there will be some to go into the freezer also for another meal.
When doing tea last night, it dawned on me that I have a 1/2 oven as well as my full one and tea would fit into that one. I only usually use the 1/2 one for grilling things. I don't know why I haven't thought of it before, it must surely use less electric than the main oven.

Good afternoon all
Blairweech hope you are feeling brighter now.
Get well wishes & hugs to PP & Miss Redruby
Jo1972 - thats bad news - hope you dont spend too much at the launderette - would it be worth while looking into renting a washing machine?
Am late posting has had a massive lie in after the party. Yesterday went really well we were so lucky with the weather. OH has cleaned up loads but as it rained this morning we are waiting for some things in the garden to dry before we can put them away - luckily the sunshine has come out now.
Have cooked brunch in the remoska and now planning to take it very easy today - ignoring the washing and ironing.
Puppy has been really good, played with our grown up dog all morning, slept all afternoon then decided to get in the party mood at 1.30 am when everyone went home! Luckily he did settle down very quickly. Is not happy at the moment as we have put his collar on for a while for him to get used to and he is not impressed.
No more cooking for me today, we have got loads of leftovers (not as much as I thought though) and we can munch all day.
Off now as need a drink, have a lovely Sunday.

Afternoon, lovely and peaceful here! dd 2 and dd1 taken dog out for a walk with their friends, dd3 got pulled over when the dog tried to attack the St John's Ambulance lad who was collecting for charity, so she ran back, they'd only got about 20 yards - they know they have to all stay together otherwise! But she could see her brother sniggering - at the poor lad trying to dodge the dog, not a dd3! Sigh!
ds has done all the dinner pots and loaded the dw, girl cat is fast asleep at my feet and boy cat is slumped in the dining room, hoping for some sun through the french windows I think. dd3 has recovered and has painted several old tiles and is now pottering in the garden, making a bed for her dolls in her tent.
Toad in the hole in the remoska was amazing, how puffy! Though I have to confess that oh made the batter, yet again! I was busy boiling beans, freezing the lemon drizzle cake, making choc cake, peeling pots and veg for lunch, and making onion tarts and french stick for dinner! All I've done all weekend seems to have been food related!
Decided we shall have a nice day out and lunch tomorrow for dd3's birthday, actually her bday was the beginning of August, but she's taken this long to decide where she'd like her bday lunch! Have already warned ds that he will need to be up and dressed and hopefully fully functioning before 2pm! lol!
Going to read my book with a nice glass of wine now and then make some salad for dinner to go with all the other bits. Have a lovely afternooon all xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Whatatwit - sorry didn't mean to wear you out lol! I can cook for England, but it's all the other household tasks that I am useless at, my best friend despairs of me! In fact all my friends have been known to have a quick tidy when they think I'm not looking, and most of them don't care if I am looking lol! I enjoy cooking but cleaning is the devils work!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000

Afternoon all,
Turned out to be a lovely day here, OH and I spent a couple of hours in the garden, whilst the lamb was cooking, got all my winter veg seedlings planted out now :T , then picked some carrots and came in washed them and cooked them and had them for dinner 10 minutes later, they were yum, got loads of lamb left, so have cubed it, and put in the freezer for a meal next week.
Squigly thanks for the good wishes re my dd, she is still feeling under the weather, and has not really eaten much, she has gone to have a bath now, I did think it may be that she is on the computer too much, so will make her have regular breaks. Will get her to the Dr next week.
I also baked some apple cakes, I think Money saving Diva posted the recipe which was her Aunt Sallys, I made two up, and they are delish, will take some up to the old boy up the road later, the apples were from my garden too :T :T so thank you to Diva, and Aunt Sally :T .
Going to veg out in front of the tv for the afternoon.
Have good afternoons all xx0 -
