Morning all,
Miserable weather here again today, its pouring with rain and the sky is grey, I was planning to get out into the garden, but might not be able too.
DD had me up in the night, she was sick several times and had a banging headache, she had the very same thing last week, I think it may be migraine, I am going to phone the Dr on Tuesday, We were awake between 4 and 7, so she is still asleep now, so I will leave her for a while, poor thing, she is such a sweet girl, as she was being sick she thanked me for looking after her,
Kathy I meant to say, I love the photo's of the pool you have on your FB, is your hubby the big man with dark hair ? if so, that is exactly how I imagined him, do you remember when he was working in Littlehampton ? and I was looking out for him ? well that was what I was looking for.
Roast lamb for dinner, with potatoes and carrots from my garden, and cabbage from Sains, mine are not ready yet
Smoky, glad you like the blankets, unfortunatly I cannot knit so did not help, but I was willing the knitters on xx
Twink, hope uncles op goes well xx
Hugs to blairwech,
Have good days all xx0 -
Good morning all:hello: I'm a lesser-spotted Morwenna today thank goodness! All this talk of roast dinners is making me want to join in, but all my joints of meat are in the freezer - maybe I will lift one out for tomorrow though.
I fancy a baking day today, the plan is apple meringue tarts, chocolate brownies (I'm not allowed to put the oven on to bake without making these :rotfl: ) and cupcakes I think.
It's very cloudy here today, the weather could go either way.
I hope everyone has something lovely in their Sundays and hugs for all those that would like one.0 -
Morning peeps
dull and rainy here but i`m not too fussed as i`m w*rking all day and DH is away.
I`ve just had a warming breakfast of beans on toast and i really enjoyed them, dinner tonight will be omelette as i can`t be bothered to cook a big meal just for me so we shall have one later in the week when DH is home.
When i got home yesterday my home insurance quote for renewal was waiting for me  i`ll have to dig last years out later as i can`t for the life of me remember how much last years was
Nice and quiet here for a change - hope i`ve not spoken too soon now and everything goes wrongsuppose i`d better knuckle down to it really though.
I`ll sneak back later, have a good day everyone.

Hello everyone, well it is chucking it down here, no surprise, although yesterday was a lovely day. Got a few things to do today as we are going away tomorrow to see my parents until Saturday, they are in Cornwall, so hoping weather is a bit better. We are going to have roast chicken and roast pots tonight and have OH mum staying with us as she is coming away with yes. See you all in a weeks time, Duddles x0

Good morning all!
Haven't done a catch up yet, so if I miss anything I'm sorry!
Well got my lime pickle done yesterday, need to start saving little jars for it, as nobody is likely to want a pound of the stuff, think mint sauce and mustard jars will be the thing. Did my cheats pickled onions, they look quite good, lol - hope everyone is still speaking to me now you all know I cheated! Dehydrated some more stuff, will finish toms off today, as ds moans that the dehydrator is too noisy and keeps him awake - though when I said goodnight to him he had his telly on, was messing around on his laptop and was listening to his i-pod, so heaven alone knows how a small whirring noise could disturb him! So now have lots of apple slices for dd's to take to school as snacks, and plenty of dried chillis, will have to think of some way to present them as they'd make quite good bits for the hamper I think.
Other than that I made what seems like millions of hobnobs, the best biscuits in the world according to the village kids who arrived in a swarm when they knew I was baking some! Big thanks to Twink and you may need to set up a fan club! Also did lemon drizzle cake and choc brownie tray bakes ready to freeze for lunches. dd2 made millies cookies, so yummy!
oh arrived back and said he thought we'd achieved a lot, hmm! Got him to slice the gammon ready for the sarnies, and bag it for the freezer, the slicer is so easy and he quite enjoyed doing it! Hope I'm going to be this organised when they are back at school!
Did a veg casserole for dinner in the remoska, and used up the leftover chicken to add to everyone elses dinner. Going to try a toad in the hole in it today, I've never ever made a successful one, so finger's crossed that today it'll work!
Not much planned for today, the weather is so changeable again. Might take a trip out to Killerton for a walk around the gardens, or have a look see on the NT site and see which ones have kids stuff on today.
Will be having a quick tidy round and sticking on wm and dw in a bit, but first another cuppa and a catch up! Hope everyone has a good day xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Morning all
Raining here, so Stef will be soggy at the festival.
Roast lamb for lunch here, it was reduced. BIL has worked overnight & he & hubby are both working Monday.
Have a good day.
Hugs Hester

Morning peeps :hello:
Diva - glad your DH is feeling a bit better. Mine goes off to work when not quite right either and I just accept that it's something he does and I can't change him
Had a great sunny day at Newmarket Races yesterday. Saw a guy taking a photo of someone behind us and told DH as the guy was certainly taking his time. he looked and it was Alex Ferguson. Good for him having a nice day out at Newmarket.
Plan to go out for a chicken when I finally get my act together and get washed and dressed. I'll braise it so it is nice and moist. 2 of us here this weekend after all so there should be leftovers
DS finished at Edinburgh Festival yesterday. They had 71 in the audience! Not bad for student theatre when there is so much else going on and so much to choose from.
Ok off to make another cup of tea and have a browse on here.
Take care all

Good morning world
And another sunny one! It managed to not rain until the evening yesterday here and looks even better today! I'm hoping I can cut the grass today or tomorrow if it dries out sufficiently - the clay is still quite squelchy underfoot at the moment.
I have a few more pilfered bits and pieces from mum's garden - mainly the perennial geraniums in various colours. Not sure what's what as they were'nt flowering but I'll stick them in the ground and see what happens - she has LOADS so I can always split a few more if they don't work.
Actually finally spent an evening with OH on line last night ..... was soooo good to see him and we had a great chat. Everything is crossed for his interview which is coming up at the embassy on September 8th. I would just love him to have the chance to spend some time here as being apart is sooo hard. We have been 'together' for almost 18 months now with me travelling every time I can, but it isn't easy.
Anyway, today ...... another pillow into the wash (No.3) and a concerted effort with some of the boxes which I haven't looked at since I moved here last December - I have a feeling if I haven't looked at them in that time I probably don't need them, so will maybe have a sort out too!
Diva - I started putting banana skins under my toms a few days ago and it seems to be working! (or the sunshine is.......)
Hugs to all who need them,

Morning all !
Typical wet bank holiday ! Seems it rained all night (so OH says, it woke him up!). And he'd watered the garden and now wishes he'd not bothered.
No great plans to go anywhere -never do on bank holidays -OH hates bank holiday traffic and we get a lot being enroute to the coast.
So, day indoors doing a bit more to my little craft projects for christmas -hopefully -long as the boys behave themselves and I don't have to end up acting as referee !
Have a good day whatever the weather and hugs ((((((:o )))) to those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !
