Morning all
Thought I'd introduce myself on here too, as I've just joined in the flylady thread this week and am now 'almost' bursting with good intentions
OH & DD1 are still sleeping , DS and DD2 are quietly watching Peter Pan which was a good excuse to sort out the kitchen, but been on here all morning instead!!
My washing machine died last night  which means I've got to take all of my washing to the launderette today. There's 5 of us and I have been decorating the kitchen all week so been leaving the washing for the weekend  it's gonna cost me a fortune and I reckon it will fill my boot up! God know's how I'm meant to get the machine fixed as I don't have the funds
Never mind, still feeling motivated from the flylady thread and am in the middle of making lists of things I need to do next week before I go back to work on the 1st Sept (I work in a school, so get the holidays off)....still got to get some new uniform bits for DS, luckily DD1 is going into 6th form and won't have to buy a dreaded blazer for another few years! DD2 is starting nursery on 12th Sept and I've not bought ANY of her uniform or shoes yet
Have a lovely Sunday all, I shall be joining most of you in a lovely roast today, we've got chicken

Morning All
I'm back from Wales. Weather was mixed but we had a great time. DD turned into a mermaid and we spent most of the time at the pool.
Plans for today are a trip to Wicks to get the kitchen flooring and then watching the Grand Prix. I also have lots of washing to get on top of but that may wait till tomorrow. Tea will be pop luck from the freezer.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Morning all
Well so much for our boot fair, its raining - surprise surprise  There's always a silver lining though. Hubby is at last painting our bedroom. We had it on the cards to do but what with my mum passing away and new DGD arriving this is really the first chance we have had (dunno why I am saying 'we' all I am allowed to do is clear up after him!! That suits me fine)
Roast chicken in the oven for dinner and it smells mmmmmmmm. Am hungry now.
Fingers crossed for the boot fair tomorrow then, still have the car filled up and will empty it tomorrow if the rain comes down again.
Have a good 'un all0 -
Kaat Lady - I'm sorry your dear friend is still looking for Archie. I know cats aren't human, they have four feet and a tail, but they have personalities and feelings all of their own. Even evil cat, she was so depressed when her tom cat friend passed away in 2004 that she was just lying around, moping. It took around a month to coax her round, and she still has moments. With evil cat I just kept playing with her - perhaps George will feel a little better for some extra cuddles?
Well, dear heart found out that he hadn't had an eye test for three years which is rather silly if you wear contact lenses. He is currently moving furniture around in the other room. I am rather nervous of what I will find!
Dear heart allowed me to have a sleep in this morning and looked after little bear. Unfortunately evil cat had other ideas, involving licking any bit of me should could reach. Sigh.
Hugs to people out there - there seems to be a general yuck feeling around, which I blame on the weather. I have no idea what I am going to do today or what we are going to have for tea, but as one of my recently set goals is emptying the freezer, I think we are going to have something from there.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Morning all.Weather's grey and cloudy here today, but we're all off to the park to listen to the band , at Dad's request;) It's my Son in laws bday today so they are coming too, then tonight i'm having a girls night out and going to see the same rock band we saw when it was DD's 21st.She's mad she can't come out cos it's his birthday:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I feel like I either have a cold or the worst hayfever ever, think it's the latter, I was sing my medinose thing at 6am and that cleared it a bit.:o
Anyway HUGGLES to all in need, and i'll pop back later:p
Have a great day everyone xx:A"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Contrary to the general *grumps* that seem to be affecting everyone I'm chirpy today.....sorry....maybe I'm not well
I did all the washing yesterday - it's now on the airer in front of an open window. Roast lamb (free gift from my parents!) is in the oven and smelling marvellous and I have plans for yorkshire pudding + leftovers tomorrow.
Is it wrong to be more excited about the leftovers than you are about the meal?
Hope the weather and general cheeriness picks up for everyone :beer:0 -
Hi Guys!
Thanks for all the well wishes. My glucose levels are very low today even after eating, so am waiting for my doctor to call me back. Just feel very tired and my Lupus rash on my face is very pronounced today.
DD has left for the 2012 Olympic party with her friends. My nephew got her some tickets from his work as he works in Greenwich. She was very excited, so am hoping to see her on the TV later.
OH has put the lamb in the SC.
Anyway, not stopping long. Hugs to all.

Afternoon all,
just pottering today still. Got my drill out & put a little shelf up in the kitchen, so am feeling very proud(and looking to see what else I can do now!). Also bought a clothes airer earlier as I refuse to use the TD unless it's an emergency. And spent £11 on a boneless rolled joint of pork from Mr T's, but have cut it in half, so have 2 joints really. May even do upside-down peach cake for pudding as it's everyone's favourite (especially with evaporated milk, scrummy)
Redruby, your poor DD (((((Hugs))))) for her, migraines are so horrible. When my DD was getting a lot of headaches (which she does in bursts every now & then) the doctor suggested she keep a headache diary. Not that she did. But he said write down what she ate & the time, the weather conditions, whether she'd been unusually active (or in front of computer), etc. The idea being to try & work out what the triggers might be.
Welcome Jo1972, Magscat, and any other newbies I might miss...
Also welcome home JoannasMum! Glad you had a good time despite the weather...
Candygirl, enjoy the band (hope it's not raining where you are), and also happy birthday to your SonI-L.
PenPin, just rest & look after yourself today. All the stress you have going on is probably not helping you((hugs))) for you.
Blairweech, doesn't sound worth the hassle of going then, treat yourself to a good film & a big bag of sweeties or popcorn & snuggle up on the sofa instead.
Poppy, glad you & OH managed to get some quality online time at last too.
Right, time for a cuppa, actually got chilly toes, it's like winter todayMum will be down for dinner in a bit too. Middle DD in a horrible snarly snappy mood, so just ignoring it. Oldest DD is going up to the cemetery with some of her friends as quite a few don't know where the grave is. The rain actually seems to have eased off for them, so hope it stays dry for a couple of hours.
