My CF card arrived this morning. It's taken 2 weeks to arrive but it was sent from Holland so I suppose it's not too bad.

Applied for Card on 5th December. Received email straight away confirming 256Mb card. Received email from Canon on shorage of 256MB memory on 12th December. 512MB card arrived 22nd December.

I was told the same thing. I sent a copy of my order (printed online) and a copy of my egg card (again online) showing the camera was purchased by a mastercard. i am sure this will be adequate. Apparently it will be some time before labels and receipts are printed...

on another note;

Camera 1 purchased for £560 on egg money (£56 cashback + 2% (£8))
Camera 2 purchased for £515 on egg money (£51 cashback + 2% (£8))

Camera 1 returned to store and credited to a different card (£560)

Total purchase price £515 - £56 - £51 - £8 - £8 -£100

= £292

Anyone had any luck returning the camera bag back to a Cuirrys store?

I tried returning the bag, but as I didn't have a receipt the currys store wouldn't take it. I explained that I had asked for one but it still have not received it. They said I need to wait till I receive the receipt before they can do the refund. I printed the order confirmation from the currys web, but apparently this wasn't enough.

The thing that concerns me is that on the currys web site it says you can only return to stores 14 days after receiving the goods. The problem I will have now is that by time the receipt arrives it will be over 1 month so I am sure the store is going to try and say no again...

Any advice?

Don't worry, currys will except refunds well after the 14 days. just call customer services and request return labels. The store should accept returns fom web purchases, customer services will give you a receipt number which the store can punch into the computer. You'll see from the post above I returned a camera which was returned 20 days after purchasing.

I just emailed their websales saying that I wanted to return the bag. A prompt reply informed me that the return labels were in the post.

I have emailed then twice asking for a printed receipt. I have rung them asking for a printed receipt. I have emailed them asking for the receipt number so I can take it into Currys, but so far no response from any of my emails!

I'll give them a few more days, but if I get nothing from them by the end of next week, then I'll be on the phone to them again...

They will give you the receipt number over the phone. Email is slow and they have a huge backlog. Stay on the phone until they give you the receipt number!

I have just registered for my free flash card, and there is nowhere on the canon website (http://www.cig.canon-europe.com) that says get a free card, even though the sticker on my box says I have until the 31st. What should I do?

The sticker on my box says you have to register on the website by 31st December 2005 to receive the free card.

Did you go through the registration?
