Just received my email about the global shortage of 256Mb cards and I will receive a 512Mb card instead... I was getting worried as most other people had received the email but I hadn't.

This bargain just gets better!

Decided to go for 350d using my egg mastercard after reading about £100 cash back offer.

Reading through canon/mastercard offer terms it mentions a VOUCHER

'send it together with the VOUCHER , the copy of the receipt and the original barcode to Promoter'

On opening the box no mastercard cashback voucher aaaarh !!!


Do I need one to get the £100 ?

You need to ring Currys and ask for a receipt to be sent in the post.

If you have a screen shot of your original order you can print that out as that shows the transaction was with a Mastercard.

You don't need any voucher. Just complete the online form which is mentioned in the thread and send it to canon..............

ive been tryin to register my camera to get free memory card
but it wont accept serial number,, is it the number on the bottom of camera or the one on the box????????????

Depends - I think on one form you put in the serial number on bottom of camera - and on another the serial number on the "free memory card" sticker - mine was on the box. Its a unique promotion code.

Just got my £100 cashback 2 weeks after sending off.

I got my camera today! Its fantastic, I've been snapping away all day.

Only one problem though, the sticker on the box is ripped, and I can't make out all of the unique box code. I've got five letters, a dash and then five numbers. After that the sticker has been ripped off. How many numbers am I missing?

I've been waiting for my egg money card so that I could get one of these cameras.

Unfortunately in the rush to get an egg card I ended up with the green one (visa) at the start of the month, so had to reapply for the money card.

I've watched this forum daily to check that the offer was still available just hoping that it wouldn't be withdrawn prior to my card arriving.

Rang Egg yesterday to ask when my card would be arriving to be told my application had been declined. (Good of them to let me know!!!) When I enquired as to why, they have been unable to specify.

My problem is that that not only won't I be able to get the camera (missing out on a seriously good bargain - thanks OP), but I now may be left with a bad credit rating. Should any of the other financial services that I deal with get wind of this rejection then my financial world could be turned upside down.

Anybody else been rejected for no apparent reason?

Oh, I have a clean credit rating, own my own house outright, don't have any loans / outstanding credit card debts, don't have any financial problems - but have still been declined! :mad:
