Isn't it a better deal to get the Nikon D50? It doesn't have the £100 cashback or the free £256 card, but it has a larger LCD screen and uses SD cards. It is also a cheaper starting price at £463.

If you use the £40 voucher, and then the 10% egg discount you can get it for £380, a bargain right?
  • The 350d is the best deal.

This camera takes brilliant photos. Tons better than my S7000 in my opnion. The only downside is that it cant take movies but it is a top end so I wouldnt expect it to.

    My camera arrived today!!!! :T

Thanks everyone for the advice and great bargain.

Only problem is my wife has taken it away from me already. I managed to buy it on the understanding it was my Christmas Present, so hence the wife has taken it away and said I have to wait till the 25th before I get to play with it!
  • Not sure if this will be useful to anyone or not but here goes.

After receiving my camera but no receipt from Currys, i was getting slightly concerned as I needed one for my £100 cashback from Canon, I phoned Currys to ask if they had sent my receipt yet. The call centre I spoke to said I should have received it but they would request a copy to be resent.
Today I received a letter from Currys saying that 'due to a technical fault' they are unable to print a full receipt at this time.

Therefore for all of you who were waiting for this receipt so you could prove you paid via mastercard for your cashback claim, you will need to use the order confirmation print out that you got at the end of the online order process as this shows what card you paid with.

    Hope this helps someone....
  • seriously?? I don't think I have that!! Only the 3 e mails!!!! Currrys are in big !!!!!! if I don't get my cashback

technical problem my !!!!!! - more like they think you are less likley to claim the cashback if they dont provide receipt!

I would get on the phone to them then and ask what they expect you to do in this situation!!

Fortunately I printed mine off when I placed my order so I have something that shows I paid with Mastercard...
