Still looking for a recommendation for a Compact Flash card if anyone can help.

    Thanks
I don't know much about it - just went by what folk here said and read stuff on the internet, and went for x66 speed. Seth said, "Ebuyer.com have lots of fast CF with free P&P also Jessops price match 7dayshop (who don't charge VAT) well my local one did.Remember if FRAME RATE IS IMPORTANT to you get som x66 flash or faster for this camera!"

The best deals I have found are as follows:

    https://www.picstop.co.uk Kingston x40 £39.10
    https://www.mymemory.co.uk Kingston x40 £40.94
    https://www.ebuyer.com Kingston x40 £42.69
    https://www.mymemory.co.uk MyMemory (Own Brand) x60 £43.94
    https://www.picstop.co.uk Kingston x50 £44.70
    https://www.digitaldepot.co.uk Kingston x50 £48.57
    https://www.mymemory.co.uk Kingston x50 £48.94
    https://www.ebuyer.com PNY x80 £50.43
    https://www.picstop.co.uk Sandisk Ultra II x60 £58.80
    https://www.mymemory.co.uk Sandisk Ultra II x60 £58.94
    https://www.7dayshop.com Sandisk Ultra II x60 £68.94

On ebay you can get the Sandisk Ultra II for around £45 to £50, but you might be hit with customs charges."

as its not possible to regret it if u take the free shipping it is a bargain. ideal for mass storage absolutely cracking value i have 3 of these to make the most of the raw and large jpeg setting on the camera i went to the zoo recently had the ability to take around 1200 shots (didnt but could have) bear in mind it aint that fast because it is a little hard disk drive rather than a memory chip and is good for only bursts of 3 or 4 max before the speed of the camera overtakes the write speed. just make sure if u want to use the fast shutter speeds and multiple exposures get at least a 66x card as previous post."

For anyone looking at reviews of this camera, bear in mind that it is also known as the Canon Digital Rebel XT.

I too am waiting for my Egg card. Very frustrating.. And I have thought of a problem. If my card comes tomorrow which is should, and order the camera tomorrow or Friday (or Saturday), which is before the £100 rebate deadline of Saturday 3rd, what date will my receipt have on it? As it has to be 3rd December or before.

Can anybody advise on this? Thanks.

"Purchase an EOS 350D with your MasterCard between 1st of October - 31st of December 2005."

My Egg Money card took 12 days to arrive.
  • i'm toying between the ultra II or the extreme III from sandish. one is 66x and one is 133x.

cheapest price i found the III was £73 - so its only a little extra - think that was at picstop too
  • I agree, I am really get annoyed waiting for my Egg card to be delivered

What about the memory card that gets offered with the kit. Is it worth purchasing?

you get a free 256mb one by redemption - nothing in the box

it will be ok - but not high speed

What card are you using with the camera now then? Did you already have one? What performance do you get out of it now?

As soon as I get the delivery email from Currys I will be ordering a card. I current thinking is the 66x card from MyMemory.
