You can use MAC5 to get 5% off. With Currys' new price of 560.55 that should mean you can get the kit for 368.62 if you have an Egg Money card (560.55 x 0.95 x 0.88 - 100), after you've claimed the £100 back from Canon. Still a bargain. You should also get a 512MB card free from Canon.

Yes, thats what I did, but I also used 2% off via Quidco, bringing the price down to 357.97.

In the end it didn't make much difference not having the 10% off voucher, because 14% off £532 is more than 14% off £504.5. In the end, the difference between the two was £24, so its still a good deal.

thanks to this post....has anyone found a way of getting extended insurance for say 3 years including accidental damage, when spending £400 it is worth anotehr £100 to protect your investment against breakdown and accidental damage currys is £4.99 a month which is expensive

If you ask me........I'd say no. Its not worth spending an extra 25% of the value of the item for cover, especially considering the first year is covered by the warranty anyway. If you are a particularly accident prone person, or have a lot of curious children running around the house, then consider it. Just be extracautious and you will have saved £100.

Incidently, how long did it take to arrive? I've ordered mine today, and I'm a very impatient person!

great camera - I got mine the other week, had a problem taking back the unwanted media card to a currys store - the online team are now sending DHL postage stickers - why don't they do this in the first place!?

still no reciept, the team from customer services are sending out a new one, he gave the impression that you had to ask for one or it won't be sent out - for future information he also said that the are moving to sending email receipts in the very near future.
