I personally would use them for clothes for my winter wardrobe as you are bound to need some stuff and it's starting to get cold now.Well done on the voucher find.
have a good night tomorrow x0 -

Agree with Taxi - best to use them on yourself as it will save money when you do need some extra stuff. See it as an investment + everyone needs to spend something on themselves and I imagine they were pressents so thats what they were intended for.
I "enjoyed" my birthday money this year rether than use it towards the family as usual. It was great to buy something a bit more expensive without feeling guilty at wasting our money.:j0 -
Same here, totally agree that you should spend the vouchers on yourself, u deserve a treat. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0

Evening everyone - just a quick update before bed. Not done a huge amount this weekend. Have done mimimal housework and taken the kids to the park so had a no spend weekend - yeay!
DD has her first wobbly tooth which we discovered today - she is so proud of it and cant wait to show it off to her friends tomorrow, she is growing up so quick, its scary!
I am going to use some of the vouchers to buy a new top for thursday, OH is taking me out for a meal for my birthday and as we dont go out that often I dont really have 'going out' clothes anymore so will be nice to wear something different.
Only 4 more sleeps left of being 24 - scary stuff.
Hope everyone had a good weekend - see you all tomorrow. x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Hi Penguin
I felt compelled to read your whole diary today, inbetween swimming lessons (seems to be a common theme) and having a picnic on a blanket in the living room. Was pouring here today. Anyway I think that you HAVE been doing well. I also think that it is difficult to maintain momentum too. There has been a common thread over the last month or so, of people slowing their debt busting a little to take stock etc.
When children are very young, you can almost debt bust more because they don't notice. But once they get to 6 or 7 you can't be so tight at least as far as they are concerned.
good luck with your continued debt busting

Thank you Chev - hope NZ is treating you well!
Its my birthday today - yeay! OH has got me a gorgeous bag and a purse (I have a weakness for bags) and the kids have got me some flowers. DD thinks it is very unfair that I am having a birthday and she isnt!
Went out for a meal with OH last night which Dad paid as my birthday present. Really enjoyed it - shame we dont do it more often!
Off out for lunch today with the whole family which will be interesting(!) and then to mums tonight for hopefully birthday cake (big kid at heart)
So today will most likely be a NSD - double bonus.
Have a great day everyone - see you all later x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000
