Happy birthday Pingu. xxBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Thank you for the birthday wishes everyone. I had a lovely day, went out with whole family for lunch (2 nans only had one arguement so quite successful!) and then back to my mums for birthday cake! Was home by 7.30 to put the kids in bed. I remember once upon a time when birthdays carried on past 8.00pm!
Well back to normal now, back to work, debt busting, dieting etc etc! I am joining slimming world with my parents in a couple of weeks - dont know why I agreed to that (well I do - they offered to pay the fees!) which will be interesting!
Lots to do this weekend
- tidy/clean all downstairs rooms
- work out budget for rest of month
- make some sort of an effort to plan christmas
- shopping list for next week
- have a look for ms
- list 20 books on Amazon and Green Metropolis.
DS has got an appointment with his consultant on Monday so have half a day off work - hopefully will go well although there is not much for him to do apart from refer us on.
Got a £40.00 bonus from work in the form of an Asda Voucher so have taken 40.00 out of the grocery budget and paid it off the Dotty P card - its nearly gone!
Be back later. x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

happy belated birthday!
Good news about that dotty p card being almost cleared - how long do you think you have left on it?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Thanks Hypno - One week to go hopefully! Will be paying £10.00 a day off it for the next week so will be gone by next Saturday at the latest - and that will be 6 creditors to go from originally 17 - cant believe how many we used to have!
Thanks Taxi - I have done SW before and found it good for me as I have a big appetite and liked the fact I could eat all day if I wanted to! Hows the smoking going? OH mentioned today about quitting smoking and joining a gym. He said he wasnt sure about joining a gym because of the cost but I did point out that 150.00 a month on cigs compared to the 30.00 for the gym we would still be better off - first time he has ever mentioned giving up so quite pleased! x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Glad you had a nice day, and that is a good way to look at OH smoking v gym. I enjoy SW but have lost my focus lately..needs must as i refuse to buy new pants and can just about stretch these..thank goodness for elastic waists .....best invention in the world.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

It's going ok at the moment .Joining the gym is probably a good idea.0

I love stretchy pants too BOB! Have got to get back into the SW plan - I loved it when I was doing it butI think it costs a fortune in food shopping, all that meat. Still havent done budget so really need to get cracking on that seeing as we are halfway through the month!
Really hope OH has a good go at quitting but I know from myself that you really have to want to do it for yourself - it just doesnt work otherwise. One of the operators at OH work has just joined the local gym and is doing really well so I think that will spur him on. He has Osteoporosis as well and has been recommended to do weight bearing exercise so I think it will do his back/hips some good with the right exercise - taxi driving is a really unhealthy lifestyle for him!
Taxi, glad the quitting is going well and really hope you manage to get your sleep pattern sorted.
Will be back later with the budget (hopefulluy!) x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

I do mostly the green plans, although i am a meat lover..but i never feel full up...as i like my spuds etc..and big plate of veg with a bit of meat. Also love quorn and it is on offer at farmfoods.
Hmm i was going to say something about a good excercise for OH's hips..i think you should look at Jinky's avatar to get some ideas..............:rotfl: :rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

And as I am at the minute it will definately be weight bearing exercise for him - poor lad!
Green days are definately more filling and may be the way forward to keep in budget! xxPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000
