Okay, today has not gone as planned at all
I was having a lovely cup of coffee earlier and Chardonnay (eldest puddgirl) took the fact that I was sat down as her opperchancity to get a sneaky few momnets on my lap. Well, I don't know why, but my arm which I was stroking her with came up in the worst hives ever. Very itchy and some of the blisters joined up if you see what I mean. I have allergies, but wouldn't count Chardonnay as a trigger... Perhaps she has rolled in something outside..
(she isn't affected, I have been worrying about that, but she is okay)0 -
Afternoon all,
Nice walk today 8 miles, so my poor feet are a bit sore, just going to get the tea started, and then yes will join you Kathy in a glass or two
Have good evenings all xx0 -
Ok, so I cheated completely & just went & got fish n chips.... Not very OS I know, but I figure I've done lots of other stuff in compensation

Morwenna, that doesn't sound very pleasant...
Glad she's ok - have you got anything you can take or put on to ease the itching??
Elona, wow, what an impressive shop & way to pay for it..!!!
Oldest DD wants taxi ride across town shortly, then may see if I feel like finishing off the hall cupboard. It's looking very empty...

It should tell you at the bottonm of the reciept how many Nectar points you have.
1000 points are roughly worth a fiver or more if there are special Nectar deals on!"This site is addictive!"

Hello all,
Not read the thread yet, forgive me.
Had a great day, went fishing with friend (he fished, I read). We had breakfast cooked on the BBQ (a la Morrisons 50p offer
. Caught about 20 fish in total, took home about 12. It seemed every time I cast and reeled the line in, it had at least 3 fish on it!! Must have the magic touch (I could be like the Pied Piper of fish...or not). We were at a gorgeous little spot near Polzeath.
On the way home, I nipped into Morrisons and got some 50p sausages (no bacon left). Also bought more Reese's cup , but I think Nigella has a recipe for a similar thing in her book, so I will have to start making them.
So, I better go update my sig with my grocery budget and read the threads.
OHHHHH - and I ordered Thrifty Ways about a week ago (Stour Valley had an offer on, where you only paid £2.50 P+P
) and that arrived today :j Doesn't Martin look menacing with his bottle of vinegar - he could be the OS James Bond, ready to take on any scratchy laundry which stands in his way :rotfl: We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
that sounds great elona

Evening.
Morwenna, I hope your rash goes soon
Nothing much to report, other than a stroppy 15 year old free to a good home. Got a bit of a strop on because I refused to let her and her friend go and see a band tonight. The same friend with whom she did her vanishing act a couple of weeks ago. Ho hum.
I think I could be joining Kathy & Redruby in opening a bottle of the vino collapso.

Evening all, I'm back:D
Had a lovely break with DS2 and family, despite the weather:rolleyes: Actually we did get some sun:D And wind, and lots of rain:rolleyes:
Haven't read the thread I'm afraid, and there's little chance of catching up with a week's worth:o But as I skimmed backwards from the end I saw smoky's posted:D Lovely to hear from you smoky, glad you like your blankets:T And yes, Lainey was an absolute star:D :T The garden makeover sounds great, hope it all goes well.
I've got a mountain of laundry to do, and the garden needs sorting. The weeds have obviously enjoyed the mixture of sun and rain. Still at least my baskets and tubs survived with only one water by DS3. ( He was far too busy to visit more often:rolleyes: )
Going to have a little wander around now, while I enjoy a glass of dry white;)
Congrats to those celebrating, and hugs for those who'd like one.
