Good morning!
Sitting in bed with a cuppa, lovely! Popped dough for pizza in bm, so that'll be lunch sorted out, think tea is meant to be baked pots, but had them yesterday for lunch! Will try something clever in the remoska - well a stew or something anyway.
dd3 looks like she's done a few rounds with Mike Tyson, silly girl was playing with a stick whilst on her roller blades and almost took her eye out - the amount of blood was frightening, but I didn't want to scare her to death even though it looked terrible. Cleaned her up and thank God the stick poked her in the corner of her eye and scraped underneath it, so whilst her eye is bloodshot and swollen there isn't any lasting damage. She was fed up by bedtime of us all telling her that she was silly! Why do they do these things, and why is it in the 10 mins that nobody is watching!
No plans for the day at the moment, will do my cheats pickled onions, and think thats about all so far.
Gonna have a surf now, enjoy your days one and all xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Morning all! :hello:
It's blue skies here - has no-one told the weather it's a Bank Holiday? The WM needs to go on and the DW needs to be unloaded. I also need to hoover and redecorate the entire house... oops, Betheebeeing there..
Seriously though at the risk of seeming typecast (bank Hol = B&Q) I think I will decorate either the living room or the bathroom this weekend. I keep putting the bathroom off though - I have some of that tiling onna roll type stuff, but have never wallpapered in my life! ExOH used to do all that stuff. Still, lifes a learning curve! This could turn into one of those all too common household accidents...:rotfl:0 -
Morning all, (((hugs))) to those in need of them, Sunnyday positive thoughts coming for your friend!
I tried to stew some red cabbage in the slow cooker last night... not a huge success so I'll lob it in a big saucepan in a bit and try to cook it down. I have the occasional moment when I think something is a good idea, and by the next morning clarity has set in... oh well!
I'm not planning on doing anything much this weekend, hope everyone has a relaxing time and that poorlies get better, and OHs don't get too annoying, things like that. Take care all! (((more hugs)))"...And if it don't feel good, what are you doing it for?" - Robbie Williams - 'Candy'0 -

Morning
Well I think the National Grid might be under pressure today as everyone rushes to their washing machine as the sun looks more promising here than it has for weeks...i'm going to get pillow no.2 in and hopefully it will have a good start on the line to dry. (And it's a BH weekend!!!!)
Other than that no particular plans today. Need to visit my mum later - will combine that with nicking some more plants from her garden and checking the state of blackberries in her hedge! May also go for some more windfalls from my sisiters lotty - the last lot made lovely compote.
Have a good one everyone, and hugs to all who need them.

Morning chums, just popped in to see how you are all getting on with the bank holiday .The weather here isn't too bad, and I'm waiting for my sis-in-law to arrive for a few days this morning.
I had a spam email this morning from Virgin and it wanted all my c/card and bank details, I thought there was something just a bit off about it and so I phoned Virgin and was told that they have had lots of calls about this, and under NO circumstances to reply to it .Needless to say I didn't, so if you are on Virgin media and you get an email saying "Important information re your account " its a dodgy one, and delete it .
There are some scallywags about aren't there. It had the Vigin logo on it as well, but the spelling was a little off with a few text spellings in there So beware.
I did a lovely piece of Gammon in the slow cooker yesterday and it really is melt in the mouth stuff.I have lots of golden jelly-like juice left so I may strain it and freeze it for soup stock later.
<<hugs to those who need them>> and a big smiley face to the rest of you
Have a good week-end chums
