All you mums posting! I have got such a lot to look forward to with little bear - accidents, travelling, silliness...
Betheebee - Please may I have some of what you are drinking? You must be like a hurricane! I read what you have been up to I and I feel exhausted just at the words!
Dear heart is getting his eyes tested. Silly man - he has repeatedly refused to go and get his eyes tested so he has not received new contact lenses for a year. Now he has finally gone and he has been like a bear with a sore head. He may get some new glasses with the massive credit note he is expecting. Sigh.
I need to make a list. I have been so higgledy piggledy this morning I will never remember all I have to sort out.
Hugs to all.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Hi guys,

What a wonderful bunch you lovely people are :T :T :T :T :T
The blankets arrived on Thursday and are truly wonderful and will be cherished by us all. The children love them and their teddies with their own respective blankets (how cute are they!!) DD is currently sitting on the settee wrapped up in hers and it is never far from her side. The boys sleep with theirs and DS2 has fallen for his teddy in a big way and his reguals teddie has been relegated whilst he cuddles new ted at night. The big one is on the settee and is very warm to wrap around me when I fall asleep down here (all too often I'm afraid).
I can't believe all the time and trouble you guys have gone too and also Lainey, it must have taken hours of work to sew up all the squares and also colour co-ordinate them. Thank you Lainey :T :T :T :T
It's chaos and mayhem here today. The garden has started it's makeover and the mini digger is working it's magic in the back. Mr T's have just been as they cocked up my order and I must say the lady on the phone was very helpful and they have re-credited a £12 code so in total the £12.98 missing shopping has cost me 98p, they even deducted the delivery cost for today from the other shop as well as the missing shopping so all in all - RESULT.
We have had the soil delivered, the turf and are currently awaiting the skip. I am also waiting for a sack of spuds to arrive and after doing this post I am off to dismantle the bunks upstairs as one of the metal bars has snapped and it's now dangerous. I have not been happy with them for a while as they squeak like mad and I am forever having to tighten them up. I am going to have to clean the carpet up there as DS2 is piddling all over it at the moment
can't fathom out why, have tried all sorts with him - bribery, naughty corner etc but maybe it's just a boy thing and he will grow out of it.
There is a rice pud in the SC but apart from that todays meals will be whatever I fancy doing at the time. Hopefully later I can do a bit of sewing and clear the ironing. Nothing else planned today except for the usual tidy up.
Many, many thanks guys. Great big gentle (((((to you all))))) and at some point I will download some piccies of my 3 and the blankets and the done gardens.

Ageandjo - hope the apologies are accepted and that you have fun making up!
Sunnyday - have offered up a prayer for your friend, let us know how he progresses please.
Taplady - thank you, dd3 is now wheeling her dolls around the garden in the wheelbarrow, so obviously doesn't feel too bad! Would anyone believe that we have 3 dolls prams and assorted buggies in the garage - poor deprived little mite!
oh has taken himself off to the gym - he is very pleased as he has lost some weight, but now says as he doesn't feel like eating when he gets back he thinks he should take some muscle building supplements, doh, he's supposed to be eating less! Eating several slices of toast and assorted bits whilst waiting 5 mins for dinner to cook is his biggest problem, supplements indeedy!
He then followed up by saying the t-shirt he'd packed in his bag smelled really nice cos it was line dried, yes I replied, and I keep trying to persuade everyone to hang stuff out, his reply was "but when you're not here there's nobody to get it in if it rains". Argh!!!!!!! OS is fine with him it seems so long as he doesn't have to do anything! Good job he's gone out - though his parting shot was he hoped that I was making bread sticks, cakes and other nibbles today. Sometimes I could slap him - wonder if I could do a part exchange lol!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Kaat Lady - cheats pickled onions are, wait for it, one big cheat! Take a jar of value pickled onions, pour vinegar into bowl and decant onions into jars of own choice - 2 of Asda's cheapies fill up one of my large kilner jars, then top with vinegar, pickling spices if wanted, or just mustard seeds and whole dried chillis, which is what I use. Leave for 3 months, give as pressies!
I do make proper pickled onions as well, but these ones go down fairly well as a token gift for those who couldn't tell which one's I've done myself - my hm ones usually have malt vinegar cos that's what we prefer, heated and various flavourings added, cooled and then used to top onions I've salted, soaked and flippin peeled myself!
Now that I've exposed myself as a cheat I shall go and sit in the naughty corner . . . . . .GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
