  • Morning Guys!

    I started doing a post yesterday but just didnt have the energy to continue. We've had a stressful few days and feel rough again. Feel a little low ATM. We've had problems with family and neighbours this week and Ive just had enough of it all. If its not one thing, its another!

    WM has been on and DW. Nice and sunny here so washing on the line.

    DD's party went well and she had a sleepover at a friends last night, so OH & I shared Fish & Chips and watched a film.

    Dinner was supposed to be Steak & Chips but as we had chips last night, dont want them again today. May have a BBQ if weather stays nice later.

    Have booked 5 days away at Half-Term at friends chalet about 2 hrs away. She's let us have it for £110, which is a bargain as its quite luxurious for a chalet.

    Anyway, I hope everyone is well and keeping okay.

    Hugs to all.

    Smoky am glad you and the children are enjoying the blankets, you will be glad when the garden is finished
    Elona good to hear your dd is on her way home

    Penny-Pincher getting away from it all sounds like a great idea x

    Glad the blankets are a success Smokey.
    The GP qualifier has just started so hubby has finally been prised of the pc.
    Thanks for all your comments re The Christening, I know you're getting at me Annie or MM. I think BIL & SIL are silly, vain & shallow, I think they have told porkies to have a catholic ceremony, my DD's are now scouring Hello & OK to see which celeb has used the churc we are attending. I have my own beliefs & I'd be very upset if I thought some one was using a ceremony just as a social event, though don't get me started on that sort of thing, a 50 year old work colleague is marrying for the 3rd time this year & is having a big white wedding dress for the 3rd time, still each to their own.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Hi there; SMOKY, I'm so pleased that the blankets and teddies have arrived and are bringing such happiness. They were made with real love for you and the LOs because we so wanted to be able to do something to help. Thank you so much for posting and letting us know.

    Sunnyday - I'm thinking about your DH's friend and saying a prayer for him.

    Well, I started this post an hour ago and then my Mum phoned and we've been gassing all that time! I'd better go and do some work although I can't really concentrate because I know DS2 and DIL are flying back right now!

    Will call in later.

  • Afternoon everyone

    I have been a bit slow to get going today. Had a really rotten nights sleep cos my legs wouldn't stop hurting. My Oh managed practically a whole nights sleep though without waking so that is a good sign. He still has swollen glands so looks like a hamster but he is determined to work tonight cos we can't afford to lose another nights wages. We are already nearly £200 down this week which is almost half his income. *sighs*

    Still the sun is shining and I have the fat cat on the desk beside me lying in a ray of sunshine and curled into a tight little ball. She is so cute when she is sleeping!

    celyn90 and Elona - I have all 8 series on dvd (Red Dwarf) and still put them on late at night if I can't sleep, it always makes me laugh. Let's hope the movie comes off this time!
    Whatatwit - "Its cold outside, there's no kind of atmosphere, we're all alone, more or less. Let me fly, far away from here, fun fun fun, in the sun sun sun.." I could go on, as I have to admit to being deeply sad and knowing the entire song off by heart :rotfl:

    Hugs to everyone who needs one and Sunny, I will say a prayer for your friend.

    Congratulations to anyone who is celebrating a birthday today:beer:

    Afternoon all,

    PenPin, sorry to hear that you are not feeling well, take it easy...break at half term sounds good;

    Hester...I certainly wasn't getting at you....we all have stupid family members and just have to put up with them as best we can;

    Smoky...so glad that the blankets were a success....second everything that Mioliere has said, it made us all feel less helpless;

    Wet and windy here to-day, forecast says that it is going to be the same for next five days...the joys of living in a temperate climate!

    Had good time at party last night, met some nice people I had never met before, and lots of people I had, so enjoyed ourselves, came home in a taxi around 12.30...€26 which made me wonder if it was worth the couple of drinks I had, still too late to worry about that now.

    Pizza dough is in bm....thought that it was later, so will be having well proven bases, earlier than usual.

    Enjoy your bank holiday all
