he's our elf from last year - he comes from the bear making department in the n orth pole (thats why he's a bear) kids loved him (5 & 3) and are really excited about him coming back this year allthough I must admit I'm struggling to think of things to do!!!:beer:0 -

I got a Noddy Elf too, though it was the other one I think.
Must re-read the thread and start writing down ideas for the Elf Antics.

Hi
I managed to find a girl soft toy / doll called Emily in Tesco (after trying to find an elf for ages).
She is dressed all christmassy and although not officially an elf, could be a santa helper - anyway she was only £5 and really cute, I'm sure my girls will love her.
They did also have a santa one, but I wanted one that looked more like an elf iyswim!
I also manaeged to get advent calenders for £1 each and they also had the individual Cadbury's Elves for 20p each.

I have raided my mums house after unsucessfully looking for an elf everywhere else. She hasnt got one but she still has the polar bear teddy that she bought me a couple of years ago from Tesco ( i left it there when i moved out apparently) after checking that polar bears are definately from the "north pole" (they are just wanted to be sure lol! i can imagine my other half telling me off if it was penguins in the north and polar bears in the south - he's pedantic like that!!) I have decided that he will be coming to stay with us.
my only problem is i havent got enough activities for the whole of dec!
any one got any ideas that arent already mentioned??0 -
Oh these are the ideas i have made a note of so far:
our polar bear will eat chocs and leaving the rubbish everywhere
taking pics of himself
colour in a christmas picture
potato printing + leave suplies so drew can do his own
suggest a charity day (i always have a clear out before xmas so drew can help this yr)
make salt dough decs and leave supplies for drew
have snowball fights with cotton balls
our polar bear is going to put up the tree over night
play hide and seek
hang candy canes and snowflakes in Drews room
go and visit rudolph (possibly bring him home for a day or two)
hide in the freezer
wrap presents and end up in a mess of paper, sticky tape, ribbon etc
make snow angels in icing sugar
give chocs for good behaviour
bring stips of paper and glue for paper chains
bring special paper so we can write to santa
give drew new colouring books and pens0 -
Hi Kacy - I know what you mean about it being hard trying to find an elf - I found loads of lovely ones on the ineternet but they were all from America and cost a fortune to ship!
Anyway, I am happy with my girl doll now, but just need to name her!
Other suggestions I have seen for you are:
- leave your polar bear withg the remote control and Christmas movies with popcaorn scattered around (maybe an empty can)
- "toasting" marshmallows on the fire
- fishing in the fish tank if you have one
- snowball fights with other teddies
- hiding in different places each day
- decorating the kids rooms while they are at school etc
- having a tea party with other teddies etc
I know I've missed loads, but if you look through the thread, I'm sure you will get some other ideas - there is also a thread called Chistmas Elf activities with more ideas - definitely worth a look too.:D
