  • Snow toes got hold of the camera today - but no body knows yet - we had lots of fun - he fell out of the christmas tree, rode motorbikes, trains and dinosaurs. Drove my car, ate some biscuits out of the tin, stroked the cat, went on the internet, had his photo with Santa and got into dd's bed with a dolly!!! :p Then he had a snowball fight with a bag of cotton wool he threw snowballs at my 3 reindeer and at Santa. It was wicked fun for me!!! ;)
The kids thought it was brilliant - and I had to tell snow toes it wasn't really snow - it was cotton wool, and then Snow Toes said that if they tidied up the mess he'd leave them an extra star each on his report to Santa. I've never seen 6 children tidy a mess so quickly!!!!! :T

Anyway - then they all misbehaved - so Snow Toes has decided to go away for a few days, because he doesn't want to tell Santa they are being impish, and I have to call him on my mobile when they are all being good again! (We'd planned on him going to dh's work on Monday to make sure daddy deserved presents too! - so hopefully he'll be back on Tuesday!)

Hope all the other elves are well!

The very talented Batty and Snappy (!) made fantastic christmas trees out of sugar cookies last night. The kids were really impressed this morning and especially because those clever elves had thought to make 3 trees, one for us, and one each for their grandparents!

I (sorry, the elves) made the trees using the star cookie cutter kit that was on sale in the last Betterware catalogue. Not sure if anyone saw it, but it worked brilliantly. It makes a complete 3D tree and would be brilliant for a party or table centrepiece.
  • Last night our elves re-decorated the christmas tree with the kids socks and undies.they were both found in the tree wearing santa hats (for the kids)one was on top of the tree and the other just sitting in it.we found a note saying that wilf wanted to be a fairy so alf put him up there.the kids thought this was great especially my 5 year old who thought it was really funny!
Thanks for the ideas i think i can keep going til christmas eve- that is if i can find enough energy, elf mischief is really hard work (but worth it!)

Elvin Stardust is the elf who’s visiting my dgd in Australia – here is Elvin’s blog

    http://elvinstardust.blogspot.com/

There are jokes and games, and they’ll change every few days so lots of fun.

Donna, thank you for the jokes. Here are some sites I found too

    http://www.activityvillage.co.uk/christmas_jokes_for_kids.htm
    http://www.ducksters.com/jokesforkids/christmas.php
    http://www.kidsjokes.co.uk/jokes/other/christmas.html
    http://www.merry-christmas.com/stories-poems/christmas_jokes.htm

It’s worth looking around these sites as some have poems and stories, colouring pages etc.

    Q. What do you get if you cross Santa with a detective ?
    A. Santa Clues!

I think Elvin is planning to have a row around Megan's garden pool - he'll probably use a plastic dish and spatula for a boat and an oar! Good thing they dont have a fishpond else he might do some fishing!! ;)
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D
