Yummy Mummy Amy - I am SO sorry, I have only just read your PM. (A hectic week around here!) Of course I will, but I am guessing from your posts that you already got some. Let me know if you need anymore.
Batty and Snappy have just visited Bertie's website by the way.
So far they have,
* caused havoc in the living room riding round on a toy motorbike
* fallen off the tree trying to put a star on top
* visited Grandma's and left goody bags there
* put up a new display tree with all the children's 'special' baubles on
* left balloons and elf chocs on a regular basis
* climbed into bed with DH0 -
hi GemR,
yes i attacked the bloke in morrisons as he had boxes of them on 1 of the cage things they have stock in. LOL! should have got more than i did as when in there the other day they were empty but i still have some in the cupboard. thanks anyway.
i'm so glad its not just bertie causing havoc. as you will have seen on the site all his adventures are listed in blog.
are you all in the UK? it seems that it may take on as a tradition over here. my neighbour says she is going to do it next year. and a couple of ladies on another site i use has done it htis year.due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:

bertie has "left the house" and returned to santa as the boys have been little devils this afternoon despite being ill. he has left a note saying he has gone to see santa and tell him how bad they have been and will see if santa will let him return!!! Jingle dropped in on Bertie's site and said hi!
He's in disgrace, 'cos yesterday he accidentally burst a balloon and scared the life out of the kids while they were watching TV. Oops!Conquering the debts one penny at a time.....0 -

The video in the link is fantastic. I didn't realise it had been posted on here and actually got it off another site. Batty and Snappy asked Santa to send one each to my two and they were found sat at the computer, watching the videos and eating advent calendar chocolates this morning!
My last post looks like it got cut off somehow, so I will update the list of elf adventures at some point. It is great that we can all share ideas. Batty and Snappy are all ready stocking up on ideas for next year!
Amy - yes we are in the UK too, although this is our first Christmas back here for 3 years. We have been in Ontario, Canada for the last few years, but didn't ever hear of the elf tradition there. A lot of friends who lived there did have a New Years Eve fairy though (another thread maybe!!!). This is a fairy, similar to the tooth fairy idea, that slips a small, inexpensive but meaningful gift, under everyone's pillow on New Year's Eve. I worked with people in their 40s and 50s who had kept their own little gifts from every year since childhood.0 -
