Keep your chin up and ignore the boss where ever possible! Just focus on the point when you can tell him to stuff it! :rotfl:

  • Well, it was pretty bad, still no working printers or computers, my memory stick has a virus due to the absolutely uselessness of our IT stuff.

I am more or less prepared for tomorrow. have the traditional banging headache.

I just cannot believe nothing has changed.

    xx

  • Hi Buffy....as I said on another board am a bit of a newbie. I just wanted to say that your diary sounds really positive and inspiring.

I realise now that I've been doing exactly the same lately not getting out and not getting on and doing things when I'm at home. It's been really difficult as I was made redundant....got a new job now (which I hate) but the real bummer is the salary is now £6000 pa less than my previous one. I then get wound up because my brain isn't engaged and depressed because I'm not doing anything

Reading your diary has inspired me to start making lists and doing things....all be it things that don't cost any money, lol. I will be following your diary avidly which hopefully will spur me on to make those baby steps forward.
  • Well I have not posted in a while.

absolutely no time. School is the most unhelpful place in the world. nothing is fixed nothing is ordered on time and we are all under pressure to be outstanding.

which is never going to happen.

I am constantly being asked what I am teaching and why, feel as though I am completely new and never taught before.

my payment a day and e bay have gone out of the window. I did go out last night but that was awful too. I was so tired and fed up I shou have gone home.

the new job is god but that means that two days a week I am exhausted.

Its too difficult to keep everyone happy. I have missed this place but simply cannot look at a computer when I get in cos it makes me think of all the school work I should do.

this is so how I got into debt. no life no friends feel so distant from the few friends I do have and am not paying attention to anything important. its all jst ridiculous school crap all the time.

I know its only been a week but this is exactly how I felt at the end of last term.

I should have given in my notice. debt or no debt.

I don't seem to get used to it. its always the same some bits work and then there is always something to forget.

I mean 8.15 tuesday one of my bosses gives me 9 pieces of paper all need dealing with by 3.30 and I am teaching all day. it is insane.

I have missed this place so much.

    off to have a read

    xx

  • Hi Buffet is it just your particular school that is so bad? Could you look for another school? Or do you want to get out altogether?

  • I don't know what other schools are like really, it sounds silly but I am not sure I would mind even going somewhere worse? cos its not so much the job I cant do but the politics and actually the emotional investment of having been there so long and watching it change from some where that was hard to wokr in but at least we all pulled together, now its every one for them sevles and you are under so much pressure to perform. I cannot do it.

I honestly don't know if I could even have the wosits to go and get another teaching job. That is why I never gave in my notice last year. The BS in education at the moment I can't keep up. I mean the head gave a talk and I understood about 1/2 of it. if that.

I think what I might try is investigating temp jobs either in teaching or office work.

Although truthfully that would be eaiser if I could drive. hmmmm.

Perhaps I should aim to leave by Easter.

I just read my diary (as in real writing diary) from last year. I was really miserable! so its certainly time to go.

but then there is the money thing to think about. arghhhhh!

can you tell I am just having random thoughts here?

    xx
