  • yes a woman at work has changed the days we have meetings on and I must attend them - its now the same night as tutoring. so I need to see if i can cut or if I have to leave. she is a cow - the meeting changer! everyone is very annoyed.

If I can just cut them I will have JUST enough for spending money, but it won't be much fun.

as it gets later on Sunday nights I get so miserable about work! really need to have a read of a few more bits.

oh dear I really don't know how I am going to manage all this. sick of doing sums and having no real answer.

    xx

  • hello,

done two 12 hour days. tutoring was fabulous tho really reminded me why I went to in teaching in the first place. I do not know how all you guys do so many jobs/hours.

work is ok, ever since I have decided I am leaving - either asap if it gets worse or once I am debt free I have worked hard to say no to stuff, and be unavailable.

Its given me a really great sense of freedom. I simply do not care what the management think. its an odd feeling. I always have cared deeply. Its just got to the point where i have enough faith in myself as a professional to know that I am doing a good job. sod em!

Money wise the extra tutoring is helping.

ok its 11 o clock, MUST go to bed!
see you all at the weekend( unless I am still awake tomorrow night)

    xxxxxxxxxx

  • Right a qick up date,

had a good week up till Friday, when work was just really dreadful - luckily for me every one else thought so! we all just moaned at each other. It was a completley wasted day which has really screwed me up. I have coursework to finish marking by Tuesday, was meant to do it Friday but all the data analysis we had to do there just wasn't time. that means I needed to do it today.

hmmmm. today. well. I got up ok, had to have an akward conversation with my Mum. I managed to sort out my room and do some hoovering! but then I got really tired.... - which is pathetic but I wanted to aviod my sis and bf coming so I laid down and didn't wake up till just before they left......I hate doing it but after the chat with Mum this morning I just did n't want to have to sit and chat with them.

    So now the problem

    1. finish my new seating plans for work, plus other stuff
    2. complete a ridiculous amount of work for OU.
    3. go out with Mum tomorrow.
    4. clean out my various pets.
    5. file some bills(!)

I guess tonight will be school work and bills, pets tomorrow along with OU.

I have been fly ladying a bit, got some routines which are working really well -i realised this week my room and my filing etc aren't that out of control

got to eat now so will finish this in a bit
    xx

  • All I actually wanted to add was that I had ten quid in purse at the start of the week, and that was ALL I spent Sat- Fri, Friday I had to buy desert for a dinner out, but was so sensible! didnt go nuts at all.

and I did an extra shift at Tutoring which was throughly enjoyable and I get paid for it! had forgotten work could be like that.

Although it might be the last. I many have to attend meetings now every Thursday some woman at work is on some sort of power trip. needs to impress the head. its a shame really am sure I would like her if she was n't such a kiss !!!!!

off to watch Merlin now and fill in some crap for work

Take it that you have to attend these meetings then?
Thought you might have a choice?
Dident think they could make you do something like that every week?

  • they can't, not strictly speaking but things are so bad at work re kicking up a fuss or saying no etc, even the union rep is being bullied! so I don't think I can get out of it.

sighs. must remember I am only there till I pay off my debts.

    xx

    edited to add,

That sounds really weak and like I have given up- I haven't I mean I know other people don't want to attend etc, but they are linking everything to performance related pay. head gets the final decision and if you have been akward well apparently he makes it more difficult.

trouble is everything is based on rumours.
