Maybe I can! I have just come out of two jobs with absolute nightmare bosses, the last one I had said the wrong thing to me one day and instead of rising to it I picked my bag up walked out of the door and never went back. I got a job the next day! I know teaching is different - you can't walk out of one and into another but.....you have to learn coping tactics.......you spend a lot of your life in your job and to not be happy is draining and confidence sapping...

And I think having 'homicidal' feelings for your boss is very healthy!!

  • Amyand Jon , I wish your brother luck, I teach older kids - who are lovely, it is never the kids that are a problem you can learn to handle them the bosses are the problem. Good luck with the leaflet dropping xx

Sammy when I worked on Supply I loved it cos you could walk out and not worry , but I can't go back to that due to debts, one week without work and I would be in serious trouble it is still very tempting however!

right i have got to get on! only came on here to check my list for today!

    been here ages!

Buffy I think you live in a very toxic environment
    - you don't like living at home, because of your sister
    - you don't like your job cos your boss is a to**er
    - you don't like driving because??????

Do you see that this can be a vicious, sapping circle which will affect your body. I am surprised this has only just started to happen if you have been under such stress for any length of time.

The reason I am pointing out the obvious is so that you can go back to this post any time you are wavering on doing your 4 things a day, and remember why you are doing 4 things a day!!!

ps I am really quite proud of myself today, as I managed to make home made soup this week that was edible, I have done a roast today and straight after put the bones on to boil for stock - no waste, AND I have managed to some MORE unpacking! This getting organised must be catching or something!
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

  • Amyandjon - I start a tutoring job week after next, two nights a week! that is going to be my monthly spending money and everything else goes on the debts!

Chev! hello! and yes I will read that post every time I feel like giving up and not doing my four things

I really think - on the organising front, getting the new furniture has helped massively. everything is laid out as I need it. I mean I am a bit disappointed with the desk - its a good size but the material its made from is going to mark really easily, must use coasters at all times!! but everything else is fab, almost better then I hoped for. it was worth spending the money.

You have just moved in to your new house haven't you Chev? good luck with the unpacking, its semi satisifying - oooo I have unpacked = less boxes nice house mixed with why did I pack that? am I going to use that? what is that? where is the other one?

and I have a face mask on so can't go anywhere just yet!

  • Not a good day. Came up stairs to find one of my pet rats in serious distress. had to take him to the emergency vet to be put to sleep.

    am gutted.

I know people will think rats are disgusting etc but he was lovely.
