Slaying my debts, the second year

Hi buffy, sorry to hear that things aren't going to plan.
I was going to suggest looking at getting a 0% card, but it seems that most of your debt is in a loan (possibly with PPI?) and you may need a 0% card in April when your current one runs out if it is not yet cleared.
Have you been overpaying on the loan? Is there a penalty for early settlement?
Try not to take it too hard, even if you are going to be paying for another few months. You are still moving in the right direction and something may change later in the year to allow you to pay more. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0
Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110 -
thanks Georgexx you are right xx
I just feel really dumb.
well i feel better now I have had a think.
I don't think I can be debt free this year. but since it is only January I am not beaten yet.
I am going to over pay the loan as much as I can each month whilst still paying off the cc.
its unlikely but not impossible.
so long as come December I know I have done all I can I will be good with that

i know you want to be debt free by xmas, but you want to be debt free and enjoy it, dont push yourself too much that its making you ill. If you look how far you have come in the last year, youve come on great leaps and bounds, remember that what you feel down, one way and another you havehad a lot to contend with, but you come through it fighting, and thats what your doing with ur debts fighting them and winning.
Your a special person and dont you ever forget that xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
(((((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))) for Mumtoonexxx you are always so kind xxxx You aren't coming to Manchester are you? or you George?
I have spent the evening
and I do mean the entire evening doing cashback sites.it has nearly killed me!!
I belong to about 8? and if I follow the amazing guide I should make 4 quid or so a day. tonight I also joined Sun b"ngo and applied for a credit card and if both track (pleasexxxxxx) I should make 40.50.
if they track.
If I want to keep this up I need to be organised. my brain was definitely going to explode at one point! and deleting cookies is a bloody night mare.

Buffy, youve done brilliantly, cant believe youve done so many sites, dont know if you have done Take A Break Bingo, put on £10.00 then click bingo, and it gives you a free scratch card, pull out ur £10.00 they do the scratch card daily, it might be 10p, could be a £1.00 but its free.
Glad your ok, do worry about you. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Buffy, dont beat yourself up for being human! We are allowed to make mistakes you know. You will acheive your DF goal, you are a hell of a lot more focused than me, if it takes a little longer than planned then so be it. YOU are more important than money Buffy.
Take care, Pepe xx
:D stay wonky

 I don't know how you do it! I tried the clicks guide but I'm sorry to say I dropped it - the frustration factor was too much for me, decided I'd rather spend less somewhere else and have the time.
I'm going to echo Pepe and remind you don't beat yourself up... in self-help book terms you need to remember you're the 7 Habits goose who needs looking after to produce the golden eggs!
Hope you're having a good weekend

I have had a rubbish weekend.
Rubbish night out friday.
Felt really ill most of Saturday but couldn't put my finger on it. slept most of the afternoon. Am doing that more and more. get SO tired I simply cannot keep my eyes open.
Had a row with Mum Saturday night. about food as per usual.
then sunday was very very ill. in agony for about two hours. in bed shaking for the next two.
then I got dressed, ate a lunch I didnt want. did some work, but not enough. its never enough. then I had to sleep again, got and did some more work.
I feel as tho I carrying lots of spinning plates and I can't keep them all going.
My money situation is okish, but I have a late payment charge from Tescos but I can't understand how. I cannot believe I messed up all my maths.
I have no time, have to keep mum happy all the time or if not happy then at least in company. I know I do not want to be in my job any more. I could cry
I need to finish my reports for tomorrow they are already late. then I am to be observed.
then I am to come home to sit on the sofa again. I feel I am going mad. I have talked to my friends and they say I am to move out. but that is with these debts impossible. plus it would leave Mum almost completely alone.
I have no idea what the answer is and no time to think about it. My friends mean well. but it was quite hurtful, if I am honest Friday, one friend said that I would have no life if I wasn't careful - Which I am fully aware of. I mean for Christsakes I am 32 nearly 33 and I can't stay out all night!
I need at some point to sort this out. I just do not know when.

So look at your situation, and see if you can simplify.Buffythedebtslayer wrote: »My money situation is okish, but I have a late payment charge from Tescos but I can't understand how. I cannot believe I messed up all my maths.
Perhaps you haven't. Phone them and find out - companies make mistakes.Buffythedebtslayer wrote: »I have no time, have to keep mum happy all the time or if not happy then at least in company.
Or else she does what?Buffythedebtslayer wrote: »I know I do not want to be in my job any more. I could cry
