Slaying my debts, the second year

cheers George, am very nervous about Tuesday
xx
I haven't written here for a while. I am trying not to worry about one of my pupils. Her Mum died and obviously she is devastated. the school aren't being very sensitive and she spoke to me yesterday. I don't know if I said the right things. I gave her my email if she felt bad over the weekend she wasn't alone. I just hope she uses it and not a bunch of pills or something. apparently her Dad knows she tried before so he is hyper aware. although I only have her word for that.
You know these things only happen on Friday! I just have to have faith in God that she will be alright and I get the chance to speak to her again on monday.
In other news my OU exam is tuesday. I am just now setting up my desk for a day of studying which I will probably enjoy!
best go have breakfast now

I have made a big mistake.
Ages ago before it was confirmed i had a second job, I applied for a new 0% credit card, and put down a balance transfer for my current card.
any how I got the job, didn't hear anything back from the CC and assumed I had been unsuccessful.
The cc turned up on thursday, which I don't need, they had already balanced transfered the money. And of course it cost me the fee. 97 quid or there abouts.
It does mean I have more time to pay off the bill which is obviously a good thing. except really I don't need it what job number two. but maybe I can use it for part of my loan.
but still a hundred pounds wasted.
ugh.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
Be careful with the loan - remember that it may charge you extra for early settlement. Also how are you going to put the money towards the loan - only some cards allow super balance transfers, so watch for that.
A woman complaining of having too much credit?
What are they teaching in schools nowadays?
After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0
Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110 -
its an egg loan, and they let you make early payments, I checked when I first consolidated. I would rather not move it to be honest but just over pay each month.
but I guess I shall just write up the 100 quid to experience. ugh.
cheers tho George and for not telling me off!

Pretty miserable so have been avoiding up dating my diary.
the "accidental" bt cost me a hundred pounds.
I failed my OU course - to be honest I pretty much expected that. I don't have the time. between work and home life I have no time to myself. I am going to try and finish the other one I am doing, I am behind but not completely behind. will have to e mail the tutor. hate that.
I spent loads this week, and haven't kept track, buying lunch at work (huge mistake since today I threw up and have felt awful all night) went to the pet shop and spent lots - although wont need to go again for a month.
I also spent on Amazon. which is bad. 15 quid. three books, none I needed but I felt awful after my ou e mail and went right back to my spending to feel better. and I bid on a bag on e bay too. and won.

so october has not been good at all. Tried dieting and failed that too.
On the plus side
Work has been ok and half term is coming up
Second job is still fab
got in touch with ex and he has been nice. as ever. I miss him.
haven't bought any toiletries
have bought some christmas presents.
bit worried about Christmas.
and changing my bank account whilst hopefully getting me 150 pounds is a bit scary and i have hiccups!
hang on

Buffy, see the child protection officer if you are worried about the child at school. Am glad is school is ok. What is your second job? Is it the tutoring? How are you anyway? PM me if you like!THE LONG AND THE SLOW ROAD SEEM TO APPLY TO DEBTS AND DIETS... THE TWO THINGS I WANT TO SEE THE BACK OF...:D0
-
She has already seen the Child protection person, not very helpful, the girl wants to deal with things by herself. she was ok this week, well she was there and working.
Today so far has been very annoying. am so worried about money i have wasted/lost and there is no daily chat(sad I know but I could do with a laugh!)
I seem to go in cycles, some months I am really quite positive and do my money properly. and other months I am so mad and frustrated.
oh I don't know. I shall go tidy.

Hey Buffy,
dont beat yourself up over a bit of spending & you tried the balance transfer with good intention, you were just unlucky this time.
Could you re take the OU exam ? To be honest it sounds like you have too much going on at the moment. I've studied with the OU & had to withdraw from a course because I never could find the time to do anything properly so I know just how you are feeling
Have a brief wallow & recharge your energy then you'll feel happy to jump back on the DFW path,
lots of hugs

Remember the old saying "rome wasnt built in a day", yes you may of had a bad month re money, but we all have slip ups, (all my good intentions have gone out of window), youve been through hell and back one way and another and you need time for you, ok you brought a bag off ebay, but it could of been worse at least it wasnt a £500 D+G bag or similar...... Dont think of the bag as a error, think of it as a pick me up, and jump back on the debt free lifestyle. xxxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
