Why don't people just pass the rises on to the purchaser? If every ones costs go up you'll not be any much worse off than you are now. Its still income its better than nothing till google or some one who knows how to run a decent search engine gets in on it.0

For many people the fees may well actually be lower, so really no need to panic unduly. The hardest hit people are the smaller sellers with a basic shop, some of the rest of us are actually saving up to 75% of the total listing fees we currently pay.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. True but i fit into the mostly bin seller who is being very hard hit. So i'll pass on my rises and hope every one else does the same. If not i'm "out of business" and eBay loose another seller.0

Unfortunately the big business sellers with shops will be getting better listing rates and even a percentage discount on their FVFs if their stars are good enough, so you may well be forced out of business if you increase your prices out of proportion with your competitors. Ebay have a stated intention to move towards a more business led site so it works with that policy to remove the smaller sellers.
I know we will now get posts about it not being fair, but business is not fair. Look at Amazon for instance I am a pro seller so I get more per book that a standard seller..which means i can price my stuff to force them to take a loss (if they follow me down) or so that they give up. Then in turn we have the big sellers who have business rates for mail (with RM or another service) which means they pay less to send their books than I do, so they in turn push prices down on me so I have books I cannot price match on without taking a loss.
On the Amazon forum there are always posts about it not being fair that we are not all trading with the same set up, but that's life.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Life is indeed unfair. I take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe0

A Babylon 5 quote..I haven't come across anyone who remembers B5 for ages..I loved it and met a lot of the great actors (so many of whom died young).I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If you have a shop then yes you may need a rethink. However, some of us will be saving money on listing fees so it isn't all bad (yet!).I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. That's the whole point though - ebay was designed specifically for people to sell their unwanted items online. It was an auction site for the ordinary punter to make a few quid. In the last few years it has become money motivated. This will chase ordinary sellers off the site. E-bay has completely betrayed its own principles and community values.
I think they will regret this in the long-term when business suffers and sales drop.0
