I would simply put in a post or two then run chain across the gaps to stop him parking there. If you think he might remove the chain then padlock it to the posts. You can give whoever needs one a key to unlock it and get in. Surely this would be a much cheaper solution than buying bollards

I agree with pssst that the layout makes it 'easier' for people to take advantage. I see what you are saying about the whole picture making the boundaries clearer but I was picturing him driving up to your front door iyswim? (Like you'd have to if you parked on his drive?)

If you are in two minds about the bollards, then I would definitely ask the HA to intervene, as they are obliged to.

Tbh though, I would go for the bollards anyway, or a chain. It seems the easiest option all round. I would also do it to save me having to restrain DH, because he'd want to have a word with him for sure and it isn't always the best option long-term!

If he is as bad as you say he is then I would not park my car sideways on as I can see you ending up with a dent!

It's horrible when you have problems with neighbours, believe me, and I'd avoid if at all possible.

BTW, can you actually afford the bollards?

The bollards are £70.00 for the 3 including postage. We dont really have the money ATM but TBH it's worth it I think.

The police have been there twice already today. Up until 4 months ago, this neighbourhood was lovely...its such a shame when one family spoil it.

If this neighbour is new, definitely get on to the HA. Also, does he have so many vehicles because he is running a business from home? That would have been a no-no for the HA I used to work for.

Are they HA tenants? If so, then they may be breaching their tenancy. You should inform the HA anyway of the problems you are having, in case they need to build a case for eviction.

I would also put up a sign saying "PRIVATE: access ONLY for visitors to [your address]" just so there is no confusion.

Could you ever-so-accidentally leave some nails/screws/glass on the floor and park elsewhere for a few days?!
