Does your car insurance have a legal advice provision? Mine does and I can phone up an get expert advice form one of a team of solicitors. I've used the facility a few times over the years and can tell you that it is well worth the extra few pounds that it costs.0

I would just put a sign on the car - For Sale - £100 Scrap value - Please tow away from drive.
He will have a massive panic when he sees that in the morning and wont park it there again.0 -
you dont have to own your own driveway, with regards to the council, as long as it has a dropped kerb, its legally ur own right of way, not someone elses.
the trouble is, this neighbour might not know you got a problem unless you say something anyway if its been left a while......0 -
id put up a sign saying unauthorised vehicles will be clamped with a release fee of XXX. he is clearly taking advantage of you only having one car, and he has no right to do so. its your drive way, ask him nicely not to park there, if that doesn't work id go with the sign, bollards sound very costly and a lot of hassle to me0

Thanks guys!
The neighbour is well aware of what he is doing but doesnt care and is just a bully.
We have ordered 3 security posts from ebay anyway and OH will put them in next week. He uses our drive to reverse into his drive as his house is opposite to ours, so he wont be able to do that anymore. He will just have to improve his driving skills! I am also going to contact the HA and make them aware of the situation. Our HA know that I am disabled as we have had to have adaptions done to our home.
Thanks for all the suggestions above, but TBH I wouldnt have the balls to do some of them as we have to live here and dont want to p*ss them off too much.
Thanks again.

we arrange a day to come to urs, and we all use his driveway to park in and over the entrance, :rotfl: hope you get things sorted x0

I am probably a bit late if you have already bought the post but how about parking your car at the bottom of your drive near to the road (assuming it is long and thin not short and fat of course!)
That way hubby could still pop out and move the car, same as he could to move the posts...

Hi Penny Pincher
Just to clarify are you saying that your neighbour is actually parking on your driveway (i.e. alongside your car) or is he parking on the road blocking your driveway (i.e. over your drop kerb)0 -
Here is a picture of the drive taken 3 months ago. It is wide rather than long IYSWIM. It is a definite off the road driveway but he parks actually on the drive. To repeat what others have said, requires education, to challenge it,requires brains!FEB GC/DIESEL £200/4 WEEKS0

Position the car right in the middle so there's no room for him. Maybe DH can move the car when nurse is due to visit??
Really cheeky of the neighbour !!
