i read on the ebay forums quite a few people wanting richard branson to start some sort of competition.
How does selling on amazon compare??0 -
Selling via Amazon is very expensive I looked into it a few months ago and its more complicated than ebay beacsue they have fixed postage costs and you ahve to go with the regardless of how much is actually costing - most people also disregard postage fees - we use a courier whose prices are increasing all the time becuase of diesel costs. When I looked at Amazon it wiped me out.0

I really don't know, I do list a fair bit and use the shop on and off but don't want to pay silly prices for it.happybunny22000 wrote: »If ypu close it what will you do?0 -
I agree sometimes it is not worth listing as the postage fixed costs would leave you out of pocket.happybunny22000 wrote: »Selling via Amazon is very expensive I looked into it a few months ago and its more complicated than ebay beacsue they have fixed postage costs and you ahve to go with the regardless of how much is actually costing - most people also disregard postage fees - we use a courier whose prices are increasing all the time becuase of diesel costs. But like where I work - our shop is the livelyhood - so its not as easy as we close. We would need to find somewhere else.0

Can you tell me what the new monthly fee is please. I have a small shop and think I may loose out now. Maybe I should close it.
Basic Shop £14.99 per month - 20p listing fee
Featured Shop £49.99 per month - 5p listing fee
Anchor Shop £349.99 per month - 1p listing fee
The FVF have also increased0 -
It's annoying because I picked up 4 SLR lenses from freecycle which I was planning to sell. Although since I have loads of stuff to sell anyway the singular insertion fee till 23rd Sept should soften the blow.
Ebay, according to DailyTech.com, are trying to shift into the bulk supplier end of the market although I hardly see why this means that they have to raise small seller fees.Buy for value not cost.
Feb Grocery = £55.87 / 800 -

That's not what Freecycle was set up for.....................0 -
I know, considering I was actually planning to use them, but my friend's bike got stolen yesterday, which I was borrowing, so I am having to pay out for a new bike, as a student I am going to need to raise cash. Will also try to cut down on weekly shop for £24->10 hopefully to get rid of the dept which will hopefully be settled at £120.Buy for value not cost.
