Definitely good! If the numeracy /literacy tests require 11 out of 15 and 10 out of 20 answers correct, respectively, 39 out of 45 is a very good score, even assuming they use higher criteria for interview passes. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!! I'm surprised that you saw your results(wish I'd seen mine!) because I was told that the interview would be scored after I had left the room. Probably they all do it slightly differently.0 -

I didn't see it on the day, I saw it the day after my interview when they asked me to come in to show some more ID. I wasn't snooping, it was just staring me in the face, how could I not look??! Lol. Oooh I really hope I get it!! I think I got all the errors in the literacy test, I didn't finish the numeracy test though - was a little harder. Are you waiting to hear from them too?0 -

If they didn't want you to see your results, they should have made them easily readable!
Yes. Still haven't heard anything about 1st interview (taken about 3 weeks ago) and am now waiting to hear about the 2nd one which I took last weekend. I think it went much better. I had more confidence in the style of interview and the interviewers themselves were better at bringing out the best in me.
This whole thing is almost as stressful as being unemployed...0 -
Hi everyone,
I have got my interview on saturday. I'm really nervous. I've applied for EO and i've put all my hope into getting a job within dwp. What questions will they ask? and also will i have to do a role play?
Help please. Thanks0 -

Certainly no role play at my EO interview. As far as I know, all interviews seem to follow the same pattern but I'm no expert. There are SIX competancies, so, make sure what FOUR you'll be asked to cover.
I was asked to give an example of
-when I had engaged effectively with customers
-when I led through implementing a change
-when I made best use of resources
-when I managed to build constructive relationships
The DWP website dwp.gov.uk/working/applying/engaging-aa-seo.asp
leads you through all the areas you'll need to cover for engaging with customers . All four competancies are covered on the site: It itemises what is needed at each different level.
On this site you'll see quite a few posters recommend the STAR method of answering questions. It's a very helpful way to do it and stops you wandering offf on a tangent!
Very best of luck.0 -

I just spoke to someone at the DWP regarding the interview I attended last week, they will let me know the outcome by the end of the week hopefully. He confirmed that the interview is scored out of 45 and there are 5 categories!
Good luck with your outcome!0 -

Thanks that's really helpful
What sort of answer's did you give? If you don't mind me asking.0 -
I had my interview on Monday. It was very straight-forward and I was asked to give an example for each of the following:
- engaging effectively with customers
- implementing a change
- making best use of resources
- building constructive relationships
I think it went well, but then you can never tell can you?
Anyway, I'd like to say a big "thankyou" to everyone who helped me beforehand.
If anyone else wants some advice or has any questions then just drop me a PM.
Cheers!:cool:0 -

The registration district might be asking you for details of your local council ward or even polling station, although I can't think why, and your electricity supplier no might be part of the ID checking process, although there would be an alternative to that, I'm sure. We don't all have the electricity bill in our own name, after all!Signature removed for peace of mind0
