Lidls - Do buy their nappies, £5.29 for 50 Size 4, 7-18Kg. Far cheaper and, IMHO, much superior to Pampers.Joe

anyway i don't agree think their bread is fab. it is only 25p and is softer and better quality than value brands and definitely lasts longer than a day. i wonder if you get the same kind? married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090 -
Lidl's wholegrain mustard is very good.0

Lidl - Do buy
Frozen indian snacks, spring rolls & pizzas
Mild salsa dip (like doritos ) but only 39p
Tortillas
Crisps
bottled water
fruit juice
pasta sauce in jar
nappies
diet irn-bru
Dont buy
Toilet roll - yucky and hard!0 -
Do not buy Lidl's horseradish sauce. It is very runny and very sweet and does not taste like horseradish. No Matter what you do there will be critics.0

Aldi's american peanut butter is the real McCoy, beats Sunpat's 'concrete' anyday and much cheaper - 79p. Also the hazlenut chocolate in creamy/yellow pack- 39p - fantastic crammed full of hazlenuts - I'll never eat Cadburys again, its foul compared to this. Yes - I'd recommend a visit to Farmfoods - loads of well known brands at bargain prices!DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

Lidl:
Do buy Proviact Natural yoghurt with Bifidus wotsit, better than Onken
Don't buy Moordale Frozen Beef Burgers 99p for 12. Disgusting!
Having said that have shopped there for a couple of years and am well pleased with everything else.0 -
Aldi's pure orange orange juice-Del Rivo, with juicy bits is absolutely gorgeous, MIL gave me a bottle and i love it.Pole Dancer In Training :rotfl:

My opinion on LIDL.
Buy:
- frozen pizzas (good value)
- pesto (excellent taste and very good value at around 90p against ~150p in Tescos)
- fruit juice
- salami (the 500g or larger chunks)
- special cakes at Christmas (from germany, italy etc)
- holland cheese
- frozen chicken kiev
- ginger biscuits
Do not buy:
- chocolate spread (seems to eat pure sugar; no taste!)
- bananas (never mature enough)
- wholemeal bread (much better taste from known brands in tesco)
- DVD-R (not good value compared to online shopping)0
