Thanks
Regularly on offer at Kwiksave, (but not at mo.) usually less than £2 for 200g.
Lets hope this post is not my usual "kiss of death"

I took it back to the shop, hoping to exchange it, but was instantly given the £70 cash straight out of the till even though I had paid by card. Now, not many shops would do that without having to fill in a returns/refund sheet, have it seen by the manager, etc.
Most of the electrical items come with a 3 -year no quibble guarantee!0 -

Aldi donuts don’t by ‘em. I bought some recently thinking they would be as good as any but not so. Plus they have hardly any jam in them. Yuck!0

We shop at both & mainly ignore the giant Asda Walmart only 1/2 mile from our home. Most items great taste & real value.
Lidl - bigger choice than Aldi, and you can often 'pack' at the checkout.
Lidl great for fresh fruit & veg - all currently 1/2 normal price. Dont agree with previous post re shelf life - last as long or longer than even M&S.
Babies nappies/trainer pants - great value
poor at both stores- very little regional cheeses.0 -

I think the boxed filter coffee is great, it's about £1.23 for ten plastic filter cups. It's available in caff and decaff.0 -

I'm buying more and more stuff at Lidl, although I do also have an Ocado and M&S habit.
Things I like:
Juices
Pickled cucumber slices
Pickled onions
Part-baked ciabatta/baguettes
Continental cheeses -- especially parmesan, comte and emmental. I used to buy pecorino but it's disappeared recently
Premium cat food (my cat prefers it to Whiskas, but unfortunatly they don't do kitten food)
Cat litter (uber-cheap)
Ibuprofen
Bottled antipasti, especially the courgettes, balsamic onions and aubergines
Prosecco and cava
Mini-magnum type things
Remoulade
Bacon bits -- they freeze well and are a great stand-by
Passata
Tinned toms/beans
Chocolate
All-butter flapjacks
Olive oil
Tonic water
Butter
Bratwurst (very high pork content)
I love all their Xmas stuff at the moment -- I got a great reusable fabric advent calendar, and a little wooden tree with wooden ornaments (very Scandi-chic!). I've also got some great kitchen gadgets -- stainless steel pepper/salt grinders, oven thermometer, wine stoppers etc. The cats have a very smart double-decker whicker basket courtesy of Lidl as well.
I don't have a problem with the baked beans, and our Lidl has a good selection of fruit and veg which looks fine. I only buy salad items occasionally, as I get an organic box delivery. Don't buy the fresh meat either.
Things I avoid:
The pickled beetroot is vile -- too much dill I think
I'm not wild about the wine selection (a bit spoilt by regular booze cruises to France, I think).
Apparently they're doing frozen geese for Xmas, as well as duck and lobster. Might be worth a look, I reckon.0 -

Which Belgian lager. I looked and the only Belgian Lager I saw was a different strength from Stella. I compared it with the Stella Aldi was selling itself. Which makes your "information" even odder.0
