• Sorry I meant LIDl
• I've just been to Lidl (haven't done a shop in there for about 3 months)...it seems to be getting even cheaper. I did a 'medium shop'....fresh fruit, veg, bit of meat, dairy, juice etc and it only cost me £18.99 (enough food to last me for at least 10 days). I couldn't believe the price of stuff in there..avocados for 24p, baby spinach 39p.

Also bought all my household stuff, GIANT box of washing power (5 kilos) for 3.99. Am going to try and stick with Lidl until Xmas, in order to save the pennies.

Has anyone used the Formil Colour washing powder from lidl before? Is it any good? As sadiedoll says, they have it on offer at the mo for £3.99 so I may get some if people think that it's any good.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

• I have about 40 quid to last until the end of September to pay for food, due to an unexpected expense this month. I am desperately worried as our cupboards are bare....so I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for reminding me about Lidl/Aldi/Netto.

I need to feed 2 adults with that £40 so I know where I'll be going this month! *weak smile through desperation of being broke*

Lidl Microwave Popcorn just over half the price of branded competition
• I've just opened a Lidl 175g packet of Knights 'Thai Sweet Chili' Crisps bought last week. These are usually really good, as are the lime flavoured ones.

This packet though, had a flavour which is best described as 'plain' or 'ready salted'. The batch number is 03 8183, time of manufacture 23:36 and the best before date 18-OCT-08. It would appear that the crisps missed part of the manufacturing process.

Obviously if you are paying for a premium crisp, you expect them to have the flavour as described on the pack.

As the only working email address for Lidl that I can find is: bewerbung@lidl.com I've sent the message to them. Just being handed a replacement packet won't tackle the problem at its root.

Has anyone else had a duff packet of Knights crisps from Lidl?

I've used it for three washes so far and am finding it excellent. Usually use Daz.

Also bought the white fabric conditioner, which seems to be working well.

(On another note, I can wholeheartedly recommend the Lemon/Lime sorbet lollies, on offer at 69p - I feel I may be going back for some more tomorrow  )

Since "Bewerbung" means "job application" in German, it's quite likely that you emailed their German HR department. Let us know if you get a reply.
