    Strong buy!

Oh the divine Pilsener of my 'hood, turf and home. One of Germany's best.

One of my all time must buys Schamansky I've fond memories just before the demise of EU duty free filling up my car with slab upon slab of 24 x 500ml at about £10 a go at the Euro Tunnel Calais. Probably favourite mass market German beer alas not readily available in this beer desert.:T

The EU Duty free wasn't great anyway, it might have been duty free, but it wasn't huge profit free.

You could buy duty paid in the visited country cheaper than Duty Free, people just thought 'Oh, Duty Free - it must be cheaper".

It was no loss at all when Duty Free ended within the EU, we can buy goods cheaply enough Duty Paid when abroad.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

    Xmas Saver!
duty free - those were the days - you get ripped off at the airports in ur flying in the eu.
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
  • In fairness to Eurotunnel, it used to seriously undercut the ferries, because it did not have a captive market. Going into the terminal means deliberately making time to allow for the visit. In fact there was a court case to shut down an attempt by Eurotunnel to send out a "trolley dolly" service and sell to those in the Q waiting for the next train.
Perhaps that is why Eurotunnel has a reputation for taking a hard nosed attitude to drivers who arrive a smidgen late for their crossing?

aldi jar of tikka masala sauce 59p really lovely much better than any brand names.
Before you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean !;)
  • Lidl's big, big jar of gerkins at 99p not the best quality but good value, however.........

Never put anything metal in the jar to extract the gerkins, always use a plastic fork 'else a few days later the vinegar will be covered in the most disgusting yet pretty mold growth.

Whilst the gerkins below the mold growth look OK I can't being myself to eat 'em!
  • anyone hav any idea what the honey nut cornflakes from aldi are like? im on a seriously tight budget (due to the fact im on benefits atm) and am in desperate need of a sweet treat.
iv bought lots of things from aldi over the last few months and i adore the curry sauces (tikka masala, balti, and roghan josh etc) but i hav recently gained a sweet tooth and as im not that fond of chocolate i thort that some honey nut cornflakes wud satisfy it.

My friend said they were excellent. I haven't tried them myself.

Unlike Aldi's plain cornflakes which IMHO are awful and taste almost burnt,
Tesco's own version are much better and taste just like Kellogg's
