lulaloo I think that you main problem would be training as that is normally 4-8 for tech support (don't know about sales) but if you can arrange this then go for it. Good luck with clearing the debts.

At the moment I am half way through training and wonder if it is likely that I will be able to change from 20 hours to 30 hours per week?

If I have to train from 4 I can take some flexi time that I have accrued and start earlier if the training is just a few weeks.

Oh well, we'll see after my interview anyway.

I have read on other threads about people who have increased their hours and from the sound of it there's always a lot of people looking for shift cover, so good luck!

Are these position open to people within the Republic of Ireland? Anyone in Republic working with teletech?

It's only your training that is 20hrs per week - unless you are a student or specifically told your recruiter of a reason you could only work 20hrs per week.

Typically, your schedule will be a minimum of 25hrs, to a maximum of 34 - your schedule will be based on the availability you gave your recruiter.

You can always ask for extra hours if you don't feel you have been scheduled enough, upto a max of 34 per week.

    Hope this helps.
  • When I was joined I asked if I could work 20 hours but unfortunately things have changed I am looking at getting 30 hours. Good news that I can get 30 hours.

I am half way through training and just waiting (still) to get back to it after having to wait for amy Experian forms.

    Hi Slainte,

Im guessing not, as in my first interview the recruiter clearly stated that these positions are for UK residents only. As The Republic Of Ireland is not part of the UK im sure this applies to ROI. they are quite strict on this as this would effect taxes, pay, regulations, laws etc....

    Hope that helps.

dont you find it funny that you can access your Experian within days if you go online but it takes up to 21 days if you do it any other way....WHAT!!

Guessing know one else has had any luck or have managed to setup another interview.

On second day of training now all is going well :j

I'm scheduled for 20 hours a week -I've been offered increase in hours several times but chosen not to do it-however it's a rare week I don't work some extra. Hours are usually there and you just access the scheduling tool and book yourself in for any extra you want. Works for me :)

    Hi Duchy

Wow, so you've been there for over a year- you must like it then?

I'd really like to do this to helo me pay off the rest of my debt - I want to do it alongside my current 9 to 5. Do you think that's possible?

Yes I work with several people who do it as an extra job so as long as you are motivated (and clearing debts is great motivation :) )

I do like it -I work with some really nice people, the majority of the customers are fine and the staff canteen and office coffee are the best ;) It's not the perfect job (what is ?) but it suits me and I love working from home.
