Hi Lulaloo and all
Lulaloo how was the group interview? it sounds strange I never been in a group interview either; are they asking questions to one person after another? What kind of questions are they asking?
All; Did you already looked at created a Ltd?
ThanksWorking from home for over 10 years, contact me for more details.0 -
My finger is hovering over the button to apply. The more I read this thread, the more I like the idea.
I've been unsuccessful in getting a job for three years now, and my CV is crap due to long periods of sicness.
Oh well, nothing ventured! nothing gained..

Well done, Dodger - good luck! All; Did you already looked at created a Ltd?
Do mean a Ltd company - for employment with the likes of Arise?
I did - but for me, it's more hassle than it's worth. I'd rather know what I'm working, when I'm working and what I can expect to be paid! the thought of doing my own taxes etc is not an appealing one!
With the likes of Arise, there is the option of working for someone already "employed" by them. Then they are responsible for your tax etc.
So far, Teletech are getting my vote.0 -
Hi Modavida,
I kown what you mean I am not too keen either by the idea of having to create a Limited but Arise are more flexible; as you can choose your hours from 7am to 11pm and you don't have to work both days of the week-end...
I am applying for both company anyway will see how it goes....
Regarding Arise; working through someone else is another option but how much those super-VSC will charge you per month?
I think if you're not earning much as a Ltd; you won't be paying a lot of taxes or at all... setting up a VSC cost less than 50 pounds.... I know there are other charges but... hummmm.... well I don't know anymore....Working from home for over 10 years, contact me for more details.0 -
Thank you for sharing this. I was searching for work which can be done at home. Is there any initial fees to join this? because so many are there and almost all ask for initial fees. I am a little bit skeptical about it. I needed more information. Thank you in advance.0

I was skeptical too when I saw Oliver's first post when he applied back in September 07 so I followed his posts through training and starting the job -before I applied.
A year later I'm still there.
It is essentially a call centre job -it can be very busy -which I like the shift flies past- but with the advantages of working at home. Like any other job -it suits some people but not others.
I've had good experience and i'm glad I appliedI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Hi Laly
The group interview was strange, when I first logged into the call there were loads of people (obviously other interviewees) shouting "Hello?" "HELLO?" which was all rather bizarre but once the recruiter came along it quietened down and went ok.
It lasted for an hour and a half, but it didn't feel that long at the time.
Good luck with yours!0 -
Also, just to add - in my interview last night Amy (the recruiter) said that they do not have a specific start date as they are waiting for notification from the client. She said if we are successful our training should start some time in March, so in the meantime we would get an e-mail telling us we had been successful and then she would move us to her successful applicants list so that she could assign us when training came up.0

I had my interview with amy yesterday also, dont recall her saying anything about march, to be honest she didnt know, she said it could be few weeks, next month or even longer. Although i have my fingers cross for March, Yeah was a funny experience, and i feel it is a great way to see if people are cut out for this type of work, i found mysel analyzing other interviewees thinking NAHHHH, Or Yeaahhhh.
Amy is really excitable so try to be high spirited and im sure she would appreciate that, the questions are pretty simple , Its all about just presenting yourself as best as possible.0 -

Hi bid2win,
What time was your interview? She definitely said in mine that she thought the training start date would be some time in March. I know what you mean about analyzing other interviewees. And the way some people didn't seem to 'get' what a conference call was - someone on mine kept shouting 'HELLO? I'VE BEEN ASKED TO CALL FOR AN INTERVIEW WHO AM I SPEAKING TO?' over the top of Amy as she tried to explain things. I had to bite my lip to stop me laughing a few times :rotfl:
Did she say she'd get back to you by tuesday?0 -
Had mine at 3pm Yesterday , and yes she said she would let us know either way on Tuesday.Yeah was funny to hear all that was going on in background, actually helped me to relax ("well i must be better than them"),sounds really good and am excited that they pay for training. I am interested in the sales role, although the techie job should be cool, the assessment was pretty straight forward and pretty amusing with some of the calls, Any idea how they pick which role we get?0
