What is a decent alternative for fresh garlic?

I buy small tubs / jars of minced garlic and ginger and keep it in the freezer. Just have to cut or scrape a portion out of the tub as I need it. If your lazy garlic is in a jar just transfer it into a plastic sealable tub or even a plastic bag would do and freeze it. You'll never have to throw any away ever again.
I keep tubes of herbs, such as coriander, in the freezer too.Mortgage

Hi, there are times when garlic is one of the ingredients required for a recipe, so I end up buying fresh garlic to make the meal and after a while I end up having to throw the remainder away.So my question is what would be the best substitute for fresh garlic, taking into account it's not that often I use garlic.ThanksLow Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs

I keep a jar of garlic granules/powder for when I've run out of garlic. You can get them in the herbs and spice section of the supermarket.0

We had a garlic glut from the allotment last year, which wasn't lasting as well as it should have so we crushed the remainder and froze it in ice cube trays which we then put into plastic bags. Tastes fresher than the ready processed garlic you get in the shops!Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0

The only thing I found with the lazy garlic is it comes in vinegar which seems to make it not taste as garlicky. I buy the frozen packs of garlic, Morrisons used to do them but now I get them from Asda, they're like little frozen cubes of proper garlic and taste as good as fresh.Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0
