I've received the email as well and can't believe the price, especially when you see what the 2 course meal is...one option for the main course is an all day breakfast roll of bacon and eggs! The meal is also served with local tap water (yippee!) with tea/coffee etc available at an extra cost! If anyone would like my priority booking code then please send me a pm as I won't be needing it. Sorry for the bah humbug, but it's just so annoying that the spirit of christmas seems to be so expensive.0

I'd echo previous comments - we went last year & I wouldn't waste my money again
I was actually really looking forward to going last year- my kids are 5 & 3 and ideal ages I thought for all the santa magic - I kept telling them on the way down we would be 'flying' to see santa
We stood in the infamous tent & I thought then it was crap, but it's for the kids, not us, so I went along with it, until my 5yr old said ' Daddy, we're not flying - I can see the grass outside'!
Out you go into wonderland where I was annoyed by students all morning ( anyone who's been will know what I mean)
Santa was the best thing there, but even then, you can't take your own pictures while he meets your kids, so that was another 20 or so quid for 2 photographs, as it's buy theirs or do without. The day we went the photographer didn't crack her face - I think these people easily forget some of us spent months waiting to go along to this..all in all, a real let-down so I won't be going back. I was actually prepared to see this year if they'd made any improvements, but for the 4 of us to go close to christmas £340??! for a 4-hr trip? No chance
"babies under 18 months who have their own special price of £10" -ROFL! How generous - shouldn't babies that age be FREE?
Like the idea of Disney Paris - anyone suggest cheapest way to get there? Ferry & drive I presume0 -
I checked on the site yesterday and was gutted to see the massive price increase as we were planning to take our 7 year old this year but there is no way we will go at that price.LBM-29/08/07

Likewise. Had been prepared to pay much the same as last year's prices (if only because it is local to us and we missed out on it last year), but how they can even begin to justify such a massive price hike for what is effectively a posh Santa's grotto is totally beyond me. The reviews were not exactly outstanding at last year's prices, so we certainly won't be going.Ah! Good old trusty beer... I hope you never change.0

i've sent them an email telling them exactly that, I'll let you know if I am likely to get an answer!0

i thought there was a credit crunch i think they are having a laugh at prices like that
they need to read some of there reviews out there on the web! I'll stick to our local farm santa and grotto he was good last year0 -
We went last year and paid £125 for two adults’ two kids and a Granddad. Yes, there were things that needed improvement and were rubbish. But my son who was 5 loved it and so did we, mainly due to the wonderful Father Christmas at the end and my sons face as Santa knew all about him and what he wanted for Xmas. So our hard earned money was well spent in the end. As it could be the last year that my son believes in Santa I wanted to take him and my daughter who is now two. For this year it will cost us £325! for the 5 of us. The price does now include a meal and some ice-skating. I was quite upset that we will not be able to afford to go this year along with many others I expect. But just a thought how many kids are going to want to sit down and eat a meal when Santa is in town?0

I soooo wish I hadn't posted this now!!! I hadn't got round to checking the price out - I just wanted others to avail of the offer asap if they wanted to, and presumed the price would increase a wee bit - but this is outrageous!!! I too cannot believe the price hike, just for an additional cr4ppy meal and some ice skating!!!
Don't waste your money guys - I was considering going again, but they can shove it now!

I think it should stay if only as a warning to anybody thinking of booking!! Given that the thread will come up in Google. Perhaps a move to the days out board would be an idea though0
