Shaz, did you lose anything from the sheds?
Nice to hear some good news, Sazzy. Alas, my love life sucks, Mr Sunshine moved to a different flat yesterday. We may be able to sort things out with time ... I need to be patient, which I am SO not good at. And I hate being alone, I don't have a lot of friends or activities to distract me, so am alone at home most of the time.
they didnt take anything from the two sheds that they managed to get into, which is suprising, as there are four mountain bikes in one, all fairly new too. all i can guess is that they were looking for gardening equipment, lawnmowers etc, which were in the third shed. either that, or they were looking to see what was available, and coming back another night with a van?, but we was back the night after who knows?
i hate being alone sometimes too, which is why i have taken up knitting again, keeps me occupied and is helping others less fortunate than myself
hugs

Why I Fired My Secretary
morning.
I went downstairs for breakfast hoping my wife would be pleasant and
say, "Happy Birthday!", and possibly have a small present for me
As it turned out, she barely said good morning, let alone "Happy
Birthday."
I thought...
Well, that's marriage for you,
but the kids....
They will remember.
My kids came bounding down stairs to breakfast and didn't say a word. So
when I left for the office, I felt pretty low and somewhat despondent.
As I walked into my office, my secretary Jane said, "Good Morning Boss,
and by the way Happy Birthday! " It felt a little better that at least
someone had remembered.
I worked until one o'clock, when Jane knocked on my door and said, "You
know, It's such a beautiful day outside, and it is your Birthday, what
do you say we go out to lunch, just you and me." I said, "Thanks, Jane,
that's the greatest thing I've heard all day. Let's go!"
We went to lunch. But we didn't go where we normally would go. She chose
instead a quiet bistro with a private table. We had two martinis each
and I enjoyed the meal tremendously. On the way back to the office, Jane
said, "You know, It's such a beautiful day... We don't need to go
straight back to the office, Do We?"
I responded, "I guess not. What do you have in mind?"
She said, "Let's drop by my apartment,
it's just around the corner."
After arriving at her apartment, Jane turned to me and said, "Boss, if
you don't mind, I'm going to step into the bedroom for just a moment.
I'll be right back." "Ok," I nervously replied.
She went into the bedroom and,
after a couple of minutes,
she came out carrying a huge birthday cake .
Followed by my wife, my kids,
and dozens of my friends and co-workers, all singing "Happy Birthday.
And I just sat there...
On the couch...

Heya lovelies.
Welcome to the newbies on the thread. I hope you'll find a very comfortable home here.
I met my new support worker today. She's nice.
She said that she's going to see about me moving to be closer to town as I feel so isolated being this far out.
Drop in on Friday and hopefully seeing Janette too.
I'm not feeling good today. Spent most of last night in tears, and today I just feel useless and worthless. My problem though.

My mood is up and down, in the last few days I've gone from feeling hopeless and wishing itwould all end, to feeling better when it seems there might be some hope for me and Mr S. Up and down, up and down ... god it's exhausting.
Am now waiting to see if I've been offered a room in a flat with really nice flatmates.0 -

Hi sazzy and gilly!:hello:
I've just started to read back and came across this missive...sazzy wrote:Hello my dearest lovelies :hello: And thanks for the shout-out this morning, Tiffy hun xx...sazzy wrote:...I was very lucky that something very special - or should I say someone very special - came out of that too. Gilly Badger (Gillette147) and I wanted to share the news with you that we are an 'item' as they say:D, and that we are extremely happy together. We have recently returned from a blissful weekend in Cornwall together and can't quite believe how much our lives have changed. We are looking to the future now and daring to believe we can be happy:)Anyway, I really don't want to trample on this thread with my news, or by doing so be insensitive to the very real and very difficult struggles you all are having to cope with. But I just wanted to say I'm still here and doing ok and still thinking of you all every day and sending you the biggest hugs I can. Please remember that you are all remarkable, wonderful people. It is a privilege for me to have crossed paths in my life with you all.I promise I'll drop by more often... if you want me too, that is! But I wouldn't blame you if you didn't:)... but the fact is Tiff has changed the lock on the smartie cupboard and I need Katie’s expert lock-picking skills!;):D
Much love to you all, Sazzy xxxxxxxxxx..........
FINALLY! AMEN! HALLELULJAH!:j:j:jCon-cat-ulations guys ~ I hope that you both know how truly overjoyed and excited I am at your announcement!No-one here begrudges you any happiness I'm sure, my ever-thoughtful sazzy, so don't worry about 'trampling over the thread' with your news. We know how generous you always are with your time and support of others here hunnie. And after all, that's how this place works its magic - we share the good times and the bad. It's a privilege for me to witness this new time for you both as it begins and I hope it'll be all that you want it to be.
I've known both of you for a long time now and consider you both to be almost like family. You're wonderful people and I hope you both enjoy this amazing new adventure together.(sniff, sniff) I hope this is the start of your ''Happy Ever After'' ~ you both deserve it.
Erm, there's just one little question that I have...looking into the distant future and imagining the best possible scenario, what would your offspring be - bazzys or sadgies?!!!:DAnd of course - you'll have to have a cat!
(hint, hint)
......
Now that you two have found each other, what am I going to do?
Hey miro - what are you doing for the next 40 years, hunnie?!!!
Take care both of you. I'll leave you with a final soggy Tiffy sentiment...look after yourselves, your love and each other.
Much Love,
Tiff xxx"If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought." ~ by Peace Pilgrim.***'You just got Tiffed!'***0 -
Hi ab!:hello:absolutebounder wrote: »Hi all. Congrats to our two new lovers.
Tiff hasnt been round much letely so heres a funny for her. anyone with a cat and dog will relate to this.
How to administer pills to your cat or dog:CATS:
1. Pick cat up and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if holding baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth, pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow.
2. Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind sofa. Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process.
3. Retrieve cat from bedroom, and throw soggy pill away.
4. Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm holding rear paws tightly with left hand. Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for a count of ten.
5. Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe. Call spouse from garden.
6. Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees, hold front and rear paws. Ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get spouse to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously.
7. Retrieve cat from curtain rail, get another pill from foil wrap. Make note to buy new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered figurines and vases from hearth and set to one side for gluing later.
8. Wrap cat in large towel and get spouse to lie on cat with head just visible from below armpit. Put pill in end of drinking straw, force mouth open with pencil and blow down drinking straw.
9. Check label to make sure pill not harmful to humans, drink one beer to take taste away. Apply Band-Aid to spouse's forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap.
10. Retrieve cat from neighbor's shed. Get another pill. Open another beer. Place cat in cupboard and close door onto neck to leave head showing. Force mouth open with dessert spoon. Flick pill down throat with elastic band.
11. Fetch screwdriver from garage and put cupboard door back on hinges. Drink beer. Fetch bottle of scotch. Pour shot, drink. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of last tetanus jab. Apply whiskey compress to cheek to disinfect. Toss back another shot. Throw Tee-shirt away and fetch new one from bedroom.
12. Ring fire brigade to retrieve the !!!!!!!' cat from tree across the street. Apologize to neighbor who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid cat. Take last pill from foil wrap.
13. Tie the little monster's front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining room table, find heavy duty pruning gloves from shed. Push pill into mouth followed by large piece of fillet steak. Be rough about it. Hold head vertical and pour 2 pints of water down throat to wash pill down.
14. Consume remainder of scotch. Get spouse to drive you to the emergency room, sit quietly while doctor stitches finger and forearm and removes pill remnants from right eye. Call furniture shop on way home to order new table.
15. Arrange for SPCA to collect mutant cat from hell and ring local pet shop to see if they have any hamsters.
DOGS:
1. Wrap it in bacon (or peanut butter).
Fantastic ab - I loved this - thanks!:T :rotfl:
