Hello my dearest lovelies :hello: And thanks for the shout-out this morning, Tiffy hun xx
Hope you're all doing ok. After two months away from the thread, I hope you all don't mind me popping my head round the door to make a little sazzy squeak 'hi':) I might not have been posting, but I have been reading along and you have been all in my thoughts constantly - you have my word, that has never changed.
Quite a lot has happened in the last two months. At the time, I wasn't coping too well and I needed... well, to be honest I wasn't really sure what I needed. Everything seemed more of a struggle than ever and I really couldn't see where my life was headed. The clouds never seemed to break. I know I needn't tell you all what that's like... xx
Not entirely sure why or how, but somehow I kept going. Counselling was and continues to be tough, but it is helping. And my dear friends on this thread have been an absolute godsend. I know I have said it many times before, but if it wasn't for this thread - for the advice and for the lifelong friendship and support I was privileged to receive through it - I honestly believe that I wouldn't still be here.
I was very lucky that something very special - or should I say someone very special - came out of that too. Gilly Badger (Gillette147) and I wanted to share the news with you that we are an 'item' as they say:D, and that we are extremely happy together. We have recently returned from a blissful weekend in Cornwall together and can't quite believe how much our lives have changed. We are looking to the future now and daring to believe we can be happy:)
Anyway, I really don't want to trample on this thread with my news, or by doing so be insensitive to the very real and very difficult struggles you all are having to cope with. But I just wanted to say I'm still here and doing ok and still thinking of you all every day and sending you the biggest hugs I can.
Please remember that you are all remarkable, wonderful people. It is a privilege for me to have crossed paths in my life with you all.
I promise I'll drop by more often... if you want me too, that is! But I wouldn't blame you if you didn't:)... but the fact is Tiff has changed the lock on the smartie cupboard and I need Katie’s expert lock-picking skills!;):D
Much love to you all,
Sazzy xxxxxxxxxx

Hi all. Congrats to our two new lovers.
Tiff hasnt been round much letely so heres a funny for her. anyone with a cat and dog will relate to this.
How to administer pills to your cat or dog:CATS:
1. Pick cat up and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if holding baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth, pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow.
2. Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind sofa. Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process.
3. Retrieve cat from bedroom, and throw soggy pill away.
4. Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm holding rear paws tightly with left hand. Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for a count of ten.
5. Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe. Call spouse from garden.
6. Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees, hold front and rear paws. Ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get spouse to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously.
7. Retrieve cat from curtain rail, get another pill from foil wrap. Make note to buy new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered figurines and vases from hearth and set to one side for gluing later.
8. Wrap cat in large towel and get spouse to lie on cat with head just visible from below armpit. Put pill in end of drinking straw, force mouth open with pencil and blow down drinking straw.
9. Check label to make sure pill not harmful to humans, drink one beer to take taste away. Apply Band-Aid to spouse's forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap.
10. Retrieve cat from neighbor's shed. Get another pill. Open another beer. Place cat in cupboard and close door onto neck to leave head showing. Force mouth open with dessert spoon. Flick pill down throat with elastic band.
11. Fetch screwdriver from garage and put cupboard door back on hinges. Drink beer. Fetch bottle of scotch. Pour shot, drink. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of last tetanus jab. Apply whiskey compress to cheek to disinfect. Toss back another shot. Throw Tee-shirt away and fetch new one from bedroom.
12. Ring fire brigade to retrieve the !!!!!!!' cat from tree across the street. Apologize to neighbor who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid cat. Take last pill from foil wrap.
13. Tie the little monster's front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining room table, find heavy duty pruning gloves from shed. Push pill into mouth followed by large piece of fillet steak. Be rough about it. Hold head vertical and pour 2 pints of water down throat to wash pill down.
14. Consume remainder of scotch. Get spouse to drive you to the emergency room, sit quietly while doctor stitches finger and forearm and removes pill remnants from right eye. Call furniture shop on way home to order new table.
15. Arrange for SPCA to collect mutant cat from hell and ring local pet shop to see if they have any hamsters.
DOGS:
1. Wrap it in bacon (or peanut butter).Who I am is not important. What I do is.0 -

Oh my god that was so so funny. I can't remember the last time I laughed out loud like that.
And guess what ... only this morning I cunningly (and successfully) disguised my dog's flea tablet in a little bit of pate. He was over the moon at the little treat and never suspected a thing.

the other one cant go, because school transport, have only had six weeks to arrange a taxi for him, and as he has previously gone by taxi, it shouldn't have been impossible to arange another, well, how wrong can i be, could be next week or week after til it can be arranged

Hi All,
My gf has persuaded me to come on this site as I need a bit of moral support.
Today has been a dreadful day as I am feeling low about lack of money and my career prospects. I want to change career direction but am unsure what to do or how to go about it. Have had severe tension headaches for the last two days which have been excrutiating,I just wonder if these head aches are unique.
Many Thanks...

Hi Rob, I know exactly how you feel. You may have gathered this if you've read my posts. I don't post on this thread that often, but am starting to get more confident so will probably do more so in future.
It's really scary contemplating change isn't it. I'm trying really hard to view it as a positive thing - like being young and free again and when the careers officer asks you what you want to be. Thing is though, it would be so easy if we didn't have all the grown up things like mortgage, bills etc etc.
Sorry that's not really much help. Why don't you start by telling us what you currently do and what you dislike about it. Then what i'm doing is trying to think about what I would like to do in an ideal world, then look at ways at reaching some sort of middle ground IYSWIM.
hope to hear from you soon
