    Evening to all

Didn't get the job I went for the interview for today. Although the manager did say she thought I was very easy to be around and very enthusiastic, I had a lovely manner about me apparently :D Doesn't make me feel much better if they didn't offer me the job though!

Not sure how I feel - the job would have been ideal, I was really keen on it. Have seen one or two others but they don't seem as good in comparison...

    Welcome curled

Having been through sexual abuse myself, I can empathise as to how difficult it can be. These days, if any girl does want to get to know me (rarity) they want an instant sexual relationship, which I can't give, and what's worse, people don't recognise sexual abuse in men at all. You sound as though you've had alot of relationships, when in reality, you don't need a relationship whilst you have so much trauma.

You say you have to sort yourself out once and for all and you probably are tired of being told 'small steps', but it really is just that. Whatever time is needed, take it. Take all the help you can get, because it won't be there forever.

Sorry to hear about your cat - i'm going to be devastated when mine pass on :(

Life is hard, no question. You need to rid yourself of anyone who is a negative influence on your life. You must never put up with manipulators, liars and people who have little or no respect for you.

For those who have read anything I have typed - I told them to stick their placement up their a-s-$.

I won't be deceived by these people. I won't pass my medical next week but at least they won't have the satisfaction of 100% on their stats and targets.

    Hi Miroslav

I guess Britney's the girl for you!

Bit of a downer today, will be 40 in just under 6 months and I'm starting to feel life is going in the wrong direction.

Still I've found a CBT site to go with my bottle of wine and in a couple of hours I'll know all the right ways to think just like my assertiveness classes, excellent in theory just not so easy to put it in practice.

    What is/are your cat/s like?

Britney is the only girl for me :o She's the only one I can trust, because i'll never meet her. I wouldn't trust her if I met her though :o

40 is still young. I can say that being 32 and hoping it's still young...You can meet anyone at any time that can change your life (unless you look like me, which if you do, i'm concerned!) and anyway, you can meet someone in a different way that can change your life. I'm sure people exist that are good out there and I hope the people on this thread are not google bots...

My cats are 14.....well the male is, the 4 females are 14 in October. House cats, soft as anything and generally a bit crazy. Some like watching TV, one sings at the top of the stairs, one moans about everything and makes duck like noises, one is so happy it's disturbing and the male...attacks mid air and makes silly noises......the fat one is Little Miss Manipulator. She'll get what she wants from any human or she sulks :rotfl:

How old was your cat? I took in a stray about 10 years ago and it died within a few weeks. Still, when she could no longer stand up, she was very happy she had some love to go out with. Cried my eyes out and at my size, I probably looked stupid :rotfl:

My cat Curly was only 8, he got cancer and died in his sleep.

My previous cat Bramble also had cancer and I had to make the decision to have him put to sleep.

Curly was my sole companion and to be honest my whole reason for living for 3 years, so much so that I made a pact with him that if he went I would too but then I met my partner and I've been torn ever since.

Curly and I used to share all my food and my bed, he was the perfect companion to life.

8 :( Don't know how old Sal was (the stray that was put down)

My cats have been my best friends for years. You can rely on a cat. People say they are selfish, but to be honest, far less than humans. How many humans are happy with food, attention and somewhere comfortable to sleep?

I've always said that when my cats and flatmate go, that's it for me, unless I meet a lovely young lady in the meantime (Britney?)

Ever thought of getting another furry friend?
