Hi
Apologies for once again barging into this thread but I've decided that I need to sort myself out once and for all as I just can't carry on like I am. I hope no-one will mind if I post a list of my life events so far and then hopefully someone will come along with similar experiences and will be able to help me come up with some kind of coping strategy.
Here goes:
Raped aged 4
Sexually abused aged 8 to 14
Sexually harassed aged 18 to 23
First breakdown aged 23 - lost 3 stone in weight in 6 weeks
Disastrous relationships with a married man, an ex drug addict, a Mummy's boy, a sex maniac and an alcoholic.
Now with who I thought was my dream man but my life is going backwards. To explain I saved and bought my house for cash 8 years ago at which time I had an ok job. 2 years later I damaged my back at work and was unable to return to my original job and it was made perfectly clear that they didn't want me back full stop in an emotional meeting on Christmas Eve, so I took redundancy 4 years ago and got my perfect part-time job very local and was studying part-time for a degree. 6 months later I was made redundant for the 2nd time in 6 months and my partner and I decided that we would live together. I tried to claim JSA but had to give up my degree course to do so. Eventually I ended up claiming IB as the stress aggravated my back condition. Now I manage to live on about £380 per month plus do some Mystery Shopping and use every coupon I can to buy the weekly shopping. My partner makes no contribution to running the house but instead pays for the accommodation and parking for our holidays. I am totally stressed and am now having to take my car off the road as I can't justify running it any longer. In between all this my cat died 3 years ago which has left me totally devastated and my family who manipulate me at every opportunity do not get on with my partner and vice versa, up to the point where my partner and my elderly father have come to blows.
I've had loads of counselling, seen psychologists and psychiatrists and am awaiting CBT.
Help is it just me or can life be a load of !!!!!! and then we die?

Heya curled and welcome to the thread. I have had similar experiences to you with regards to abuse etc. I don't really have any advice at the moment but I'm sure someone will be along soon.
Hang in there hun. You're doing the best you can.
I'm Anni.

Hi Anni
Thanks. I guess I'm having a really bad time at the mo and have lost touch with people and to a certain extent reality.
I thought black & white might do something miraculous!
Guess I just needed to put my thoughts in front of me.
Thankyou for replying
Anne

It's hard curled, I know it is. I'm still battling everything that I've been through.
I've had CBT, so I hope that it helps you.
