  • Congratulations Anni, I understand that poetry is the hardest thing to get published.

Only 2 or 3 days until Mr Sunshine moves out :( However he is now talking about 'starting again', being able to enjoy spending time with me, and wanting to fall in love with me again (although let's face it, the early intensity never lasts ...) He's also talking about seeing a psychologist, as I have been asking him to for ages.

So maybe, maybe not ... I've always been sceptical about 'temporary separations', but maybe it will do us some good to live apart for a while. We did rather rush into living together.
  • After some dull and cloudy days, it's SUNNY again. You know you've gone native when 24C seems cool :rotfl: God, I couldn't go back to living with the miserable English weather.

Interesting Mr. S. is talking about this now, right before he's due to move out. I can't remember, was it his idea or yours?

I know what you mean about being sceptical about temporary separation, I was always of the same mind, but now I'm not so sure. I think it can be beneficial in some situations for two of you to get some space, both physically and emotionally, to think about what you want out of the relationship. It's hard to do that sometimes when you're constantly around each other when you live together.

Do you think it would be beneficial Amber? What do you think his reasons are for seeming to revise what's happening - do you think it's a reaction to change (we can all resist things sometimes just because they're 'different') or a real desire for change?

It was his idea. He doesn't like the flat we're living in (which is admittedly a bit grungy), or one of our flatmates, and I think he blames me for keeping us 'stuck' there because I wasn't working. However, he has his own issues that he needs to sort out, so maybe some time apart will help him do that, although I won't wait forever. As to why he is talking about starting again - I suspect that reality has kicked in, and he is thinking about how he is going to miss me.

Or maybe he's just realised he'll have to do his own laundry :rotfl:
  • Mr S just admired your picture, Anni. How do you do it?

Tell him I say thank you. :)

Well, it takes a little while to choose the model and the background and other objects you want in the photo. Then I open my Photoshop up and work away It's a case of erasing the background that the model is on, placing her on the new background, blending her in, burning the shadows and dodging the highlights, messing with lightness/contrast, hue and saturation, blurring, sharpening etc.lol. It can take many hours, but I enjoy it. :D
