Hi Shazza and Anni - thanks for the warm welcomes.
Shazza - it must have been so tough for you to have a relapse after so long being ok again!
Geminilady - yes, I've been seeing my GP about it for the past few months - trying to have a positive attitude about things at the moment (which is an odd thing to say when dealing with depression!) but hard to keep that going for very long!0 -

Counsellors, therapists, psychologists...you name it, I've seen them.lol.
Usually counselling is very informal. The first session is usually just getting to know you better. They also might ask what you want to gain out of the counselling. It might take a little while to build up a relationship with your counsellor but that's completely normal.
Is it an NHS counsellor? Or one with an organization e.g AICH?
I'm not sure how old you are but I used to see an AICH counsellor which was very informal.

Midnight - Relapses can be horrible. I've never had a relapse as such. I was diagnosed with depression when I was 14, and then was recently told I have a personality disorder and the depression and mood swings were part of that . Sometimes I don't know whether I'm coming or going.lol.
