Sorry to hear of your bad day, Shaz. My youngest daughter was special needs, although not too bad. So I can relate to what you're saying. Hope your anti-d's help and you can relax a bit more.

    Hi Beth,

Hope you are ok yourself :) in case you didnt know I have special needs as I have learning difficulties although I appear bright, but I dont let it get to me as it isnt worth it.I just enjoy each day as it comes :)

This reasoning doesn't work on special needs children. They can find it hard to express that they are finding things difficult and it comes out as bad behaviour instead.
I appreciate that but as current thinking is that these chilkdren need to be integrated into society (which I agree with) however that means if they want to be accepted they have to play by the same rules. In my opinion Shaz is too good for her own good if you get what I mean. She is suffering as a result although it is noticeable how much having a good friend has changed both her and Lady M.
Who I am is not important. What I do is.

I would really like to see you spend a week with a special needs child and see if you think the same! I know it is possible to be too soft but you really have to apply different strategies when dealing with special needs children than you do with other children. I know this because I have 2 daughters and only one is special needs.

Tulip, my daughter is now 18 and you wouldn't know she was special needs if you met her now. When she was a child she could be difficult at times and she was hard work but she is a lovely girl now and Im so proud at how both my girls have turned out.
